This resort has everything one needs for an ideal Caribbean escape…a stunning beach, varied dining options, a friendly, hard-working staff, a well-maintained property (there was always someone around cleaning or fixing something), and a modest but enjoyable offering of activities and entertainment.
Highlights…
THE BEACH - The Divi is located on the most spectacular beach in Aruba, if not in the entire Caribbean. A huge expanse of beach, gorgeous color, gentle waves and a temperature that is always comfortable.
Accommodations - We stayed in an oceanview room in one of the older units. We had a huge balcony and the room itself was very spacious and comfortable with plenty of storage space and every amenity we needed. The signs of wear and age were minor.
The breakfast buffet is awesome. So many options, both sweet and savory, many of them made to order. In addition, Le Cafe is a coffee bar serving specialty coffees and a tempting assortment of delicious croissants.
Don’t miss Club Margot, an upscale dining experience at no extra charge. An open, outdoor setting near the water with an elegant, stunning interior. It offers a set menu of shared small plates, including a decadent chocolate dessert. Be sure to go hungry!
The only negative…
Why is FOX News playing on the TV in the lobby? I found this an inappropriate choice. I suggest to the management that they play something less offensive to many of their guests - how about an Aruban news station?
