The property consists of an open plan lounge and kitchen/dining area with a magnificent hardwood timber ceiling. The living area has a cosy cabin feel, featuring a free-standing wood heater backed by a river stone wall. The open plan blackwood timber kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay; stainless steel oven/cooktop, microwave, coffee machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, cutlery/crockery and an abundance of cooking utensils. From the kitchen window you gaze towards the spacious outdoor entertaining area ideal for enjoying your morning coffee while watching the sunrise over stunning Maria Island.
The property sleeps five.
The two bedrooms are of ample size and both feature handmade Tasmanian timber beds. The main bedroom has a floating queen-sized Huon pine bed and views over-looking Spring Bay. The second bedroom has a black-heart sassafras double bed and hidden trundle single bed.
The bathroom is spacious and freshly renovated using Tasmanian timbers with a silver wattle bench top and stone basin. Relax in an enormous walk-in shower with a rainwater overhead fixture or alternate handheld spray head.
There is a separate toilet for privacy.
The laundry is fully equipped with a washing machine, dryer and wash trough all-inclusive of your stay.
All linen and towels are supplied for your convenience and extra can be supplied on request.
The outdoor rockpool shower is an absolute treat for the senses to rinse off after a swim at one of the many beaches. It has both hot and cold-water cascading from a large over-head fixture hidden in the trees.
Exploring the garden you will also find a secluded BBQ/campfire area hidden away in the pine trees ideal for a campout or to toast a marshmallow or two with the kids.
The property is pet friendly however we appreciate you clearning up after your pets and respecting the neighbours who are both full time residents
Guests have private access to the existing house. There is a storage shed that is unavailable to guests. The house has a side extension that is currently undergoing renovation and will in the future offer two extra bedrooms, a second bathroom, living area and deck. Guests have full access to the outdoor areas, parking spaces and driveways. Guests will have access to wood for the inside heater and sticks for the fire pot and pizza oven.
Guest key access is through a lock-box system and the code will be sms messaged through to the guest prior to arrival.
The property has ample off-street parking and space for boats and trailers.
