"Hotel is modest but overall very good check was fine and breakfast ok only thing I found an issue was the front door was locked which may sound fine but if you didn’t have you key it might be a problem. You were suppose to lock it especially at night and you had to rely on others to do so which was often not the case. There was not often a person at the desk no other issues and still worth the stay "

"We found the apartament with no issues and Caroline (the owner) seemed lovely. The place was very quirky and had a pleasant vibe to it. Unfortunately, this is where the positives end. I was hugely disappointed that the images on hotels.com were labeled completely incorrectly. The room was supposed to have a private balcony with a sea view. Also a bathroom with a sea view… both falsely advertised. The sea view was visible only from the front entrance of the house, not from the room. The room had...

"The hotel texted us the day we were arriving and told us they made arrangements for us to check into a different hotel. No explanation or apology. The other hotel was not on the beautiful island of Ortigia, but by the train station (not a great area). We were very disappointed. It was also hard to find a contact number for hotels.com to help with the situation. The hotel we sayed at was ok, but not quite the magical vacation we were expecting."

"This property is perfectly placed for sites and restaurants in Ortigia and close to the bridge to the main town of Syracuse. The manager is helpful and communicative. The apartment was spacious and comfortable. "

"Stefano and family were very welcoming and helpful, genuinely wanting their guests to enjoy Sicilian hospitality. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated, spacious and in excellent location in Ortigia. Breakfast was delicious, especially the wide array of jams."

Loved it!

"Siracusa has been the highlight of our 10 days in Sicily so far and Algilà Ortigia was a great place to visit. Staff was friendly and several went out of their way to be helpful. We are good walkers and could walk to all parts of Ortigia, the island you want to stay on, and be there within 15 minutes. We had a junior suite that was large with several separate areas. Full service breakfast was good, not great. Bed was very big but not the most comfortable Despite these minor things, all four of us loved the hotel and location "

"The staff was very friendly and helpful in providing sites to see and places to eat. Since there’s limited driving in the area they try as much as possible to arrange parking and transportation. The room and hotel is very unique with art and architecture. They provided a great bottle of red wine for being a VIP on Expedia. They also provided free cocktails for us once during our stay and free drinks from the room refrigerator. Breakfast was delicious. The only con was that the shower was small but I guess that is typical with a historic building. The terraces overlooking the water were fantastic. Ortigia is one of best cities to see in Sicily and Henry’sHotel is the place to stay."
