Fully furnished 2 bedroom single bath basement level walkout apartment overlooking golden pastures down to Pomona Lake. From every window, you can see the beautiful views of Pomona Lake and the wild sunflower fields that lead you to the waters. The main bedroom is a queen suite with all the comforts of home. The second bedroom is two twin beds with comfy lounging beanbag chairs. Large living room with WiFi TV, pool table for those nights in, and a very relaxing couch. Large restroom with two-person sliding glassdoor shower. In the mid-summer, the wild sunflowers fill the fields around the property with beautiful yellow flowers. Paths are mowed all throughout the property leading you on a nature hike that is over a mile long. We also offer the optional use of kayaks, standup paddleboards, and paddleboat for rent. This is the walkout basement part of our home. We live above and we each have our own entrance and completely private from each other.

What a great find to get away! Why spend the money on a hotel when you can have all the comforts of home, separate bedrooms, full kitchen, entertainment and large screen TV! If this destination was a little closer to where I needed to be, I would stay here every time!

Very clean and had everything you need including shampoo, conditioner and body wash in shower. Huge tv in living room area. Grandkids enjoyed pool table. Wife and I liked the corn hole set. Owner was very nice.

Just what the doctor ordered
Wanted to do a 2 day stay close to a lake before winter. I couldn't find anything to rent close to Lonestar and Clinton in Douglas County. This was only 42 miles away and allowed me to get to know this area a bit. Very nice host and well appointed accomodations. Would definitely come back in the future.

Nice get away. Quiet, out of the way? Relatively easy access to Lake Pomona.
Overall we had a really nice stay. The owners were very nice and friendly. We were there on a difficult rainy weekend, but the accommodations were comfortable and in good shape. The atmosphere was quiet and contemplative, especially with the horses grazing only a short distance away from the house. The kitchen needs more counter and storage space, bit was good for a short stay. Overall, we had a great time!

Great getaway location
The hosts were very gracious and accommodating, going the extra mile to make our 30th Valentine's Day special, in spite of the fact that it was the coldest weekend in 40 years! The local restaurants were great, and the various game tables and big TV made "staying in" fun. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful night sky far away from the city lights.

Quiet Escape and Stars!
Quiet, private and so many stars. Lovely walking trail; access to kayaks and transportation to park and boat ramp for a very reasonable fee with friendly service. Lots of interior space with many entertainment options; great grill-lack of kitchen sink the only minor minus. Sweet retreat!

Great place to relax!
We were very happy with our stay at this property! It's a really peaceful place with views of Lake Pomona behind the land covered in native grasses and wildflowers. The mornings here were amazing. I sat out on the back porch and saw deer and rabbits and butterflies and dragonflies and heard the wind blow through the grasses. At night, we were able to see a sky full of stars and we were able to spot the comet. Despite being close to the lake, our teenagers preferred to stay in and play games and watch movies. They LOVED the pool table. The Flint Hills Scenic Byway is about an hour away. We went to Council Grove and drove south to hike at the Tallgrass Prairie Reserve before returning to the property. It was a very nice stay!

Girls Getaway
If you are looking for fun, clean, comfy furniture, and space...this is your place. This 2 bedroom property has a huge bathroom, cookies were waiting for us when we arrived, there are games, air hockey, pool, foosball, and a large Jenga game outside, my girls also enjoyed the kayaks. We would definately come back to stay here.

Very clean! Pool table, air hockey was super fun for a rainy day. As of now just a counter top stove but used the grill to heat up food we made intended for an oven. Neil was really easy to work with. I’d recommend this for families with children (ours are 8&11)
