Paid reservation but no hotel!

Arrived in oslo with paid reservation at thon panorama (even had a confirmation the day before) only to get there and find a sign in front saying closed for refurbishing and that booked guests should call this number. I had to turn on roaming and international calling and spend 30 min on hold to be told my hotel was moved across town to a different hotel. It wasn’t walkable so I went into a different hotel and they graciously called me a taxi ($40). I missed my pre booked sauna for 3 reservation so that cost me $75. The hotel they put me (thon slottsparken) was nice and courteous and had they given me a warning, I’d have been happy to get off right by there from airport and make it to the sauna. Not telling me I’m advance was completely unacceptable. It cost me $115 in transaction costs and hours of aggravation. Completely unprofessional.

Good place to stay in Oslo

We recommend this hotel for your stay in Oslo. Our room was nice, spacious and comfortable. It was perfectly clean and well prepared for our arrival. Location of the hotel is excellent, all interesting places in Oslo as well as Oslo Central Station are close and easy to be reached. Breakfast was very good.

Hotellet ligger sentralt, ikke så langt unna sentral stasjon men samtidig stille område. Først, vi ville betale kontanter men de mener det er kontantfri hotellet. De skulle ha nevnt dette eller lagt på nettsiden. Vi har bodd på en annen Thon hotell for noen uker siden og der tok de imot kontanter. Vi hadde også flere problemer med hotellets chromecast flere ganger, men dette var de veldig snille å fikset for oss hver gang. Ikke så mye å si om frokost, det er ok. Eneste var at, først dagen da vi spiste frokost, mistet jeg kniv på gulvet og plukket ikke denne opp. Neste dag lå kniven på gulvet fortsatt. Men renslighet på rommet, ok.

Veldig fornøyd. Kort avstand til Bjørvika og Aker brygge. Fint rom med god utsikt. God frokost. Hyggelig personale. Det eneste som trakk ned var at rommet var støvete da vi ankom.

Greit hotell, og sentralt. Lite bråk. Kun 2, veldige trange heiser som virket sporadisk, så måtte være veldig tålmodig. Booket 24kvm Superior rom med balkong, som var helt ok. Noe slitent preg på interiør etc. Ganske dyr parkering.
