"The manager, Vera, is superb. She was able to set up boat rides, Fado evening, restaurants, and a fabulous wine tasting, and was always helpful and wonderful. The pool is super, the house could use window screens and fans in every room, and the owner should make sure all closets are empty. The wine from the estate is fantastic."

"We loved our six nights in the Obidos Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed day trips to the beach, Peniche, Fatima, Batalha, wine tasting and more. The castle are is busy during the day, but so peaceful at night. Rodrigo was the best host I have had (among many rentals on 3 continents). He met us to show us around and was very helpful in helping us both feel at home and explore the region. This 300 year old house was quirky but charming. Don’t hesitate to book!"

"The villa is beautifully stylish and clean , well equipped with everything you need, apart from a kettle , we had to go and buy one . Disappointed with the location, not a lot around , quiet and a long walk to the beach , quite steep , which was unsuitable for the older family members. Pool was lovely, good size and lots of pool inflatables, plenty of seating around and loads of towels to use .Car is essential. "

"Walked up from the train station. Beautiful location. Initially confused as to where lobby/ check-in is located because of so many Pousada Vila Obidos signs, but once we located the proper entrance, our experience could not have been better. Pedro is an excellent employee, giving us suggestions, answering questions, seeing us walking along the street and ensuring we were doing well later in the day. Walking along the top of the wall is so fun and you must try a ginja!"

"I like that it was close to the castle and the wall. The atmosphere of the place was wonderful. There were lots of options for breakfast. The food tasted great. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to help you. My room had a balcony which had a view of the Castle wall which is what I wanted. I could look out the balcony and take pictures. Great location."
