Wonderful stay on the Beach in Oxnard
We loved the house and its location with the beach view right across the street and fantastic cafe right around the corner. The beach house is very cozy, well maintained and peaceful place to get away from it all! We really enjoyed our stay

Perfect spring break vacation
This is third year we stayed in Hollywood beach and first time renting from The Kid. Can't say enough good things about the Kid, the location, the thoughtfulness of the host, the toys for the kids, the tasteful decor, we can go on and on with this list. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great Family Beach Trip
This place was great for our family of 4. Sandy, the owner, was fantastic. The location was great being right across the street from the beach. There is a vacant lot on the sand across the street so you can see the ocean from the unit, which is a nice perk. Easy 5 star review.

Tranquility at the Beach
We had a great time at this property, and the updates are beautiful! Enjoyed being so close to the beach, and visited the Channel Islands State Park and Ventura Harbor nearby! The house had everything we needed and more!

Great Beach house in quiet neighborhood.
It is a beautiful house right across the atreet from the beach. It had a beautiful view from the up stairs dining room. I stayed here with eight people teenagers to adult and their was plenty of room.

Great family friend location in Oxnard
THE KID was the perfect family friendly getaway in Oxnard right across the street from the beach. The house was stocked with activities for kids (books, toys, games) which was perfect for the rainy New Years weekend. And you can't beat the location right across the street from the beach. Sandy is a fantastic host. 5 stars!

Great place, Great location
After looking extensively for a house near Hollywood Beach, we chose The Kid over other properties because of its great reviews. We were not disappointed. Accommodations were great, the kitchen was well appointed, and even the inside of the washing machine was clean (not leaving residue on black clothes like many others I've used while away). We had high winds for the first part of our stay, so it was great to have the nice, bright and open living spaces at The Kid with a view to beach from indoors. Sandy was a responsive host, and graciously provided a late check-out so we could enjoy our last day there once the winds had died down. Overall we had a great time and would recommend The Kid to others.

This property was exactly how it is advertised. It's well appointed and clean. The location is everything. Perfect house for a family or two couples. I loved the view and would go back in a minute!! A Fabulous Beach House

Greatest perks possible!
This house is AMAZING! In addition to its location and clean and new accommodations, this house is stocked with snacks and games galore! We had such a blast enjoying all of the popcorn and poker chips when we weren't using the sand toys on the beach! If you are going to Oxnard: this place is a must!

Amazing house! Amazing hosts! Amazing everything
This was by far the best rental I have ever stayed in. The house is so beautiful and the best location with the best views and the most convenient beach access. The hosts were incredibly lovely. From the case of water to the basket of goodies upon arrival to all the great amenities, I never wanted to leave! The hosts were so gracious and accommodating. I will be back for sure when I visit the area. Such a lovely experience.

Superior stay
Our stay was wonderful. The host was always available and made it a point to check in and offer late check out without us asking since they didn’t have anyone coming in after. The home is clean, beautiful, functional, and peaceful. The gap lot across the street was fantastic and allowed us to see the beach. Coffee on the roof each morning was fantastic. It was close to anything we needed. The welcome gift basket was lovely. Definitely will return if presented the opportunity!

Outstanding location and great house
Our family of four loved this beach house. It is a great value given the beach is right across the street. The beach itself is wide and allows for all types of activities. The area is wonderful and a short walk to the harbor with restaurants and coffee. The owner has taken care of everything you need when first arriving. Also, the gift basket was fantastic and a bit hit with the kids and adults. The house was clean and inviting. Our family plans to return to this house in the future - you will be hard pressed to find a better house for the price.

Loved the house, cute decor, lots of space, light and airy. Amazing view
The house was beautiful, very clean with updated everything. I liked the mini kitchen in the downstairs area. Lots of beach chairs to use but no umbrellas. We bought one from the hardware store and left it there. The house is perfectly located near the market, hardware store and lots of restaurants. Will go back as soon as possible.

Outstanding Beach Home!
An outstanding beach home, with an ocean front view! Accommodations are superb with supplies and amenities in abundance. Extremely child friendly, games galore and an extremely well stocked kitchen. Although we did not have kids, I was so impressed with all the supplies and toys available if we did. The deck above gave us an amazing sunrise and sunset view each day. The house is filled with charm and warmth and fun. I've stayed in a few places, and this is one of the classiest ever. I hope to be returning soon. We've got wonderful memories of our 4 day-weekend and greatly appreciate the hostess' kindness and details that left us with absolutely nothing to worry about. Love, Love this place!

The Kid is The Best
We had an amazing time during our stay, and The Kid was a big part of it. The house was clean, well taken care of, everything worked as it should and it's very well set up for families. Mimi takes great care in making sure the stay is super special as well. The location is walking distance to some harbor restaurants, coffee shops, bike rentals, etc... And the house is directly across from the beach, with no home in front of you to spoil the view. We spent four days there and couldn't have been happier....Our son really didn't want to leave and I don't blame him. Thanks again, Mimi!

Summer get away
We just returned from a week stay at The Kid. I had LOTS of questions for the property owner since we were taking parents in their 70s and I was worried about mobility up and down stairs. There was plenty of room, the place was clean and well-stocked. We really enjoyed the quietness of the Oxnard area but the close drive to Ventura and other places (checked out the Reagan Presidential Library.) The beds, including the futon, were comfortable. We never had more than 6 people at a time. However, I would say that 8 adults would be tight in this place. The view each of the ocean all day long was amazing! We will be back!

Dream Vacation!
Beautiful home with incredible views, welcoming atmosphere and everything you could hope for. Our host welcomed us with a sweet gift basket which started the entire vacation on such a happy note. The home is wonderful with everything you could need, including toys, book, games, beach toys, chairs, etc. Sandy was incredibly helpful & responsive during our entire stay, truly a wonderful host! The view is phenomenal and it was lovely enjoying a quiet morning or evening on the patio or rooftop looking out to the ocean waves. Some mornings I’d make coffee and walk the beach looking for shells which was such a tranquil time. The beach is beautiful and not crowded like most SoCal beaches & steps from the house. Silver Strand beach is a couple min drive down the road where you can find calmer water and a ton of sand dollars. A two minute walk to the harbor where we enjoyed delicious meals and watched seals hopping onto docks and boats entering the harbor. If you want a relaxing beach vacation in a beautiful home at a quiet beach, this is the place!! We would definitely stay at The Kid again!
