Lots of flair, well thought out property with nice extras (bug spray, cooler for day use etc). This was our ‘home base’ for visiting the east side of the island and it worked well as a place to sleep. Room is in a neighborhood area with a rural feel. Relaxing frogs and birds to keep one company. Great communication from the manager. Would recommend as an affordable place to stay when doing full day trips in the area.

Awesome stay
Great place to stay! It's quite and clean. Tons of little extra, like tourist books, trip itineraries, bathroom items. Great tv in the bedroom, lots of space, shower with tub, nice drive to Hilo. Definitely recommend!

My mom and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and our host was absolutely fabulous! She made sure everything was to our liking and that we had all we needed to be comfortable. Felt like we were at a home away from home :) We particularly enjoyed all the noises and feel of the “jungle” without being out in the elements! This was a unique experience! The tropical setting along with the clean property made for enjoyable stay. The place is decorated so nicely, and the proprietor included unexpected, thoughtful touches. I absolutely loved going to sleep at night listening to the wildlife. This place is away from the noisy hotel areas and made for a very relaxing holiday. Melanie is just a great host (makes the best banana bread I have ever tasted) and even came to see that we were okay. Will definitely book this place when we return to Hilo
