This is a lovely B&B with a calm view of the bay. Palacios is far from the hustle so it’s perfect for a retreat and this is the place you’ll want to stay at. Paula, the owner, is personable and makes the place homey and welcoming. The cute cats fascinated my family. The breakfast was hearty and delicious. A great way to kick back. The suite on the first floor is quiet and has a bath tub and shower. The king bed was comfortable. We slept like babies. While the place may need some cosmetic touch ups it stays cosy and inviting. I would recommend for couples or singles looking for quiet or for a small family of 3. Lots of fishing spots all around.

This is an incredibly unique property. I happened to be there at probably the worst time of the year--not, unfortunately on vacation, but rather for business, but still found the experience very positive. The home itself is lovely and very well kept. However the most important reason to try the Pelican is to meet the owner, who is lovely. She knows the area, has plenty of great suggestions about what there is to do, where to eat, and the breakfast she served was amazing. If you are heading in this direction, or even if you are not planning to, try the Pelican!

Labor weekend stay at the pleasant Pelican
One of the nicest places to stay in Palacios. Accommodations were very nice, breakfast was very good and Paula is an excellent host. View is beautiful and the sea wall is a great place for a walk.

Peaceful Indeed!
I stayed at the Peaceful Pelican for a wonderful long weekend. From the start, Paula was easy to reach and accommodating! I spent 4 days at the inn with my dog and boyfriend, and as soon as we arrived we knew we were coming back. The place is clean, cozy, and true to its name- Peaceful. We loved our sunny sunrise room and especially the oversized tub with a view of the ocean. Paula was extremely knowledgeable about the area and directed us to the best kayaking and attractions. I can't say enough good things about this place and about Paula. We can't wait to come back!

Great place to stay. Super great host Paula. The house is a historical house that Paula shares with the public. The house is words can really describe how beautiful it is and well maintained plus the decor very much reflects the house. Once you stay here you will want to return simply cause of the tranquility you get from your stay. The breakfast is amazing. You can go for walks along the seawall. Fish at several piers; free. Bird watchers paradise. Visit the Peaceful Pelican on your next trip to Palacios

The residence was in excellent condition with beautiful old fashioned accomodations. Breakfast was very good plus with a little park and the bay right across the street for an early morning stroll. Palacios was a fun little getaway but peaceful town. If we get the chance, we will be back!

Peaceful stay at the peaceful Pelican
We had a woderful experience; it was very quiet and peaceful. The house is very charming and is in good repair for being over 100 years old. The breakfast and service were phenomenal; our hosts, Lance and Sara, were very gracious and accommodating; it was so nice to meet and chat with them at breakfast.

My son and I had a wonderful time at the Peaceful Pelican. Our room was clean, breakfast was delicious and the owner was sweet enough to allow us to come back and shower later in the day on the day we checked out so we would be clean for our long ride home. She was so sweet, we will stay there again!
