Palazzo Berlin Tours and Activities

This is the 2nd time staying at this hotel. Very good location for West Berlin whilst also a lovely walk to the East side. Hotel very clean, breakfast variety is very good, however, the ‘hot’ food selection was good but cold every morning (we had breakfast for 3 mornings). Not sure why as I’m sure it was all hot and fresh last year.

This was my first time visiting Berlin and for one positive note, the location of this hotel is idyllic - perfect for walking to local shops, attractions, restaurants etc. However, I have to say, for a 4-star hotel I am quite disappointed in it's quality. On the 1st day, our hotel chair leg snapped off and despite notifying the front desk the same day, it wasn't replaced until the day before we were checking-out. There was mildew on the sides of the shower door, limescale on the faucet and uncleaned marks/stains on the mirrors and furniture. The room was sweltering even with the heating off and aircon on - we ended up sleeping with the window open in the middle of December. We were given x2 coffee sachets, x2 teabags and x2 tiny milks - barely enough to make a decent hot drink.The hotel restaurant staff could have been more friendlier as we felt rushed and slightly uncomfortable around them, not to mention the prices for the food & drink at the restaurant and the portions you receive - I understand this is a tapas bar but €16 for a piece of beef less than the size of my palm is outrageous. Unfortunately I cannot say I will be returning.

The suite is large and clean. Location is excellent. Wonderful breakfast. I expected that the use of the sauna should be free for the guests of the hotel.
