1437 Alligator Dr., Alligator Point Beach, Florida
We love your furry children and would love your dog to include you on his/her beach vacation! Therefore, unlike most homes we have NO PET FEE and NO PET DEPOSIT!
Located in a forgotten corner of Florida’s “Forgotten Coast” you will discover a serene beachfront retreat, “Soul Happy”!
Some of the most picturesque and scenic beaches along North Florida’s Gulf Coast are found on Alligator Point. Alligator Point, of Franklin County, makes up a narrow four mile long peninsula sandwiched between tranquil Alligator Harbor and the Gulf of Mexico.
Stunning and breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico are enjoyed from within the home and the large 12’x30’ screen porch. In addition, an open-air spacious beachside deck gives you a commanding ocean view because it is located on a ridge, which gently slopes up from the water’s edge. Enjoy the expansive night skies reflection off the ocean and the millions of stars! The stars are uninhibited by the light pollution experienced these days at many of Florida's beaches.
A large, fenced yard is ready for your four-legged friends to enjoy a coastal holiday with the family too. A park style charcoal BBQ grill is available for your use while you enjoy the beach & Gulf...of which is your back yard! Enjoy preparing some tasty grilled seafood, steaks, or burgers!
Also located in the backyard is a fish cleaning sink and table. Clean fish while you watch the family out on the beach or simply while you soak up the view!
Soul Happy is a user-friendly ground level home with no steps to climb! We comfortably sleep 10 guests with 2 kings, 3 queens, and a double/single bunk. The kitchen, dining, and living areas are open to each other and are appointed with furnishings that insist you sit down and relax! Enjoy watching the sunrise from the Florida room, or step out onto the spacious screened porch to enjoy your morning coffee in the swing or rocking chairs overlooking the Gulf.
Family and friends will enjoy the large flat screened HDTV with cable as you watch your favorite sports team, TV show, or movie. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a feast for the family or a late-night snack warmed in the microwave. From the large kitchen window you can catch a glimpse of Alligator Harbor just a over a block down the street.
A huge master bedroom features two king beds and one queen bed with an en-suite bathroom and shower. The other bedroom offers a queen bed and a triple bunk (double bed on the bottom, twin on the top). The second bathroom is located in the hallway and has a tub/shower. Each bedroom has a cable TV provided for your enjoyment. An additional sleeping area features a queen bed and it is located in a corner nook of the Florida room. An initial set of linens is provided for your convenience, which includes one set of sheets per bed, and one towel, washcloth and hand towel per guest.
So….. once you arrive and settle into your coastal retreat, now what do you do? Well…..
Have you ever watched a mother turtle lay her eggs in the moonlight, or watch baby sea turtles hatch and scurry to the water’s edge? Soul Happy is located near Alligator Harbor which is one of the world’s largest feeding grounds for the Kemp’s Ridley, the rarest and most endangered of all marine sea turtles. The unspoiled waters and beaches, including those directly in front of your beachfront retreat, Soul Happy, are valuable feeding, breeding and nesting grounds for these and other sea turtles.
If you fancy winged things, then enjoy Mother Nature’s spectacular show from the privacy of your cozy “Old Florida” beach house as you witness the annual Fall migration of raptors and monarch butterflies. Many varieties of butterflies, and birds including the American bald eagle, are commonly seen stopping among the vegetation of Soul Happy’s large and inviting ½ acre of yard and native vegetation. Only 5 minutes away is the 4065 acre Bald Point State Park, which has a diverse coastal eco-system popular as a birding and wildlife viewing destination.
Only 15 minutes away from Soul Happy is the 68,000-acre St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge, established in 1931 to provide wintering habitat for migratory birds with acreage across three Florida counties. The St. Marks lighthouse, built in 1832, is still in use today. In fact, a trail of 5 historical lighthouses may be visited along a 2-hour tour of the forgotten coast.
If saltwater runs in your veins, then you will be happy to know that this particular corner of the Forgotten Coast is teaming with sea life. Our waters offer a wonderful playground for boating and fishing enthusiasts. Numerous public and private landings provide easy access to the oceans, bays, rivers and harbors of this area.
If golfing is your passion, a short 10-minute drive up the road will land you at the world class golf course of St. James Bay. Another nearby golf course is Wildwood Golf Club, located in Wakulla County.
A wide array of restaurants are located nearby at Ochlockonee Bay, St. Teresa Beach, Carrabelle, St. James Bay, and even a few hundred yards away at the Alligator Point Marina.
From Soul Happy, you’re close to everything! So do nothing or do everything…. it’s totally up to you.
Soul Happy offers timeless charm! Step back to a simpler era at the beach where you can still enjoy all the comforts of today. This beach retreat truly offers a coastal experience the way a Florida beach vacation was meant to be!
Jackie Watson would love to host your family at Soul Happy on beautiful Alligator Point. Soul Happy offers you an incredible beachfront value for your money! We’d love for you to be our guest and make Soul Happy your own special vacation beach home. Create lifelong memories. You’ll be so happy you discovered our quaint beach house that it will make your soul happy.
