Welcome to the Pachs Crab Shack, a waterfront 3 bedroom and 1.5 bath home with 30 feet of dockage and a very short walk to the local beach. Located in Panacea, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico the home has direct water access to the Ochlockonee Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. Our home is privately owned and managed.
Panacea is a small coastal hidden gem located on Florida’s Forgotten Coast. It includes a stretch of natural coastline, which boasts uncrowded beaches and calm shallow waters to float, kayak, and paddle board. There is an abundance of beautiful shells, fabulous hiking, fishing, and wildlife.
The Mashes Sands Boat Ramp is three streets over from the house. Tie your boat up to our private dock but be sure to watch the tides. Negative tides will leave your boat beached in the canal. There is plenty of boat trailer parking on the side of the house. The inshore waters are filled with all kinds of fish such as speckled trout, red fish or flounder. A few more miles SW out into the gulf and you can dive around Dog Island or head offshore for snapper, grouper, and cobia. The options are endless.
Don't have a boat? No problem! Mashes Sands Beach is located at the end of the main road, just a short walk. It is one of Wakulla County's hidden treasures. This secluded beach is surrounded by saltwater marshes, hosts an abundance of wildlife, and is a great place to fish, swim or watch the sunset. The public beach has showers/bathrooms and is dog friendly!
As you walk in through the sliding glass doors, the calming blues create a sense of openness. The décor is nautical with artistic touches. The living room has a wraparound couch, comfortable recliner chair, and a 55-inch smart TV with high speed WIFI, Netflix and ParamountPlus. The kitchen features quartz countertops, soft close cabinets, brand new appliances, Keurig, Espresso Maker and an Alexa. We love to cook so the kitchen is fully equipped with an array of spices and cookware. With families in mind, the dining table seats six.
Unwind in the master bedroom that features a king size bed with a plush cooling mattress, a smart TV, and a private porch with gorgeous views of the Gulf. Enjoy the main floor bathroom that has a built in mirror, pedestal sink, and a walk-in shower with a body sprayer. The second bedroom on the main floor features a queen size bed with a plush cooling mattress and 42-inch smart TV.
The third bedroom is set up similar to a loft, located on the second floor with a half bath. Please note it has a separate exterior entrance; the main floor and second floor do not connect within. It has a pull out queen size sleeper sofa, double bed, large closet and a smart TV. This space is perfect for older kids or if you are traveling with friends.
The house is completely stocked with blow dryers, hand and body soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrushes and paste, laundry and dishwasher detergent, cleaning supplies, trash bags, toilet paper, paper towels, tinfoil, small and large storage bags, and more. Let us not forget the full size inside washer and dryer.
The outdoor living spaces are the best features of the house! The main floor has two oversized screened porches with stunning views. The front porch is equipped with a large ceiling fan, an oversized two person lounger to watch the most beautiful sunsets, as well as a ping pong table for those rainy days or much needed breaks from the sun! The back screened porch has two outdoor ceiling fans for maximum airflow, an outdoor high top table that seats 4, a drinks fridge for your brews and a bait fridge/freezer for the fresh fish you catch!
On the second floor you will find our heated (not during the summer months) four person hot tub, propane grill and 4 high top chairs. On the ground floor, we have an amazing outdoor shower, perfect for a refreshing and much needed rinse right after the boat or beach. The outdoor shower is equipped with hot and cold water as well as shampoo, conditioner and body wash.
On the ground floor, there are beach chairs, boogie boards, skim boards, umbrella, and a beach cart. Take a ride on the two beach cruiser bikes to explore the area or have the kids hop on a skateboard or scooter to take a sunset stroll down to the beach. Love being on the water? There is a two person kayak and stand up paddle board readily available with paddles and lifejackets.
We welcome your well-behaved dog of all shapes and sizes. Your fur baby will feel at home. No need to bring your dog bowls, there are two sets. There is plenty of yard space to play and they are allowed on the beach. The outdoor shower is the perfect dog washing station. Please contact us in advance upon booking for the dog policy information. There is an additional non-refundable $100 cleaning charge to assure the home is allergen-free for the next incoming guest.
