Great value, right on the beach, in center of Alona Beach, the band (Frank and Birdwatchers big band) plays best rock & roll I have heard in a very long time, great selection of beer at best price. I've stayed at B&D Bluestone, and South Beach Bohol hotels, but keep coming back to Birdwatchers, great staff and fun place to stay. Highly recommend.

Location is perfect. Pool is awesome and just a 2 minute walk to the ocean. Nice tiki bar with staff and delicious food cooked there while you wait.

Cozy little place that makes for a pleasant stay on the beach. Staff was great, with good food and drink. A few steps to the beach. Lot of expats visit so there’s always a familiar face. Really enjoy my stay there.

This was a great stay - property is basic but great value for the money. You get on-beach access and it doesn't get better than that. Rooms had a comfy bed, working air con, decent wifi and very helpful staff. For what we paid, it was great value. Don't expect up-market resort facilities, but the price is also not up-market. I would happily stay here again

The place is right on the beach at the less busy end of the beach. The food is fantastic. Staff is great. It's more like a beach house setting then a fancy hotel setting and thats exactly what I wanted! The price was half what the fancier hotel's charged and worth every cent! The room had a Kitchen and we cooked. One of the best experiences in my 40 days in the islands!

This would be the worst stay I have had in many years. I don’t like to leave bad reviews but I think I need to warn others not to stay here. We stayed in room one which is right next to the bar so all day and half the night all you can hear is the TVs and music playing. It is so loud, don’t expect any sleep. The bathroom has cockaroachs and mould on roof. When it rains the bathroom leaks. Shower has mostly cold water and the shower head is a dribble at best. The bed is good, air con works well. Small fridge works well. No blackout curtains so lights comes through during the night. Pool looks good but didn’t use it. They go scuba diving lessons in it also. Obviously there is a bar like four steps from the door so if your after that this would be a bonus. I couldn’t wait to leave this hotel, it is run down and not enjoyable to stay here.

Overall stay was pretty convenient. It's a few steps from the beach, but make sure to be dropped off on site if you can, because it ruined my suitcase from being dragged from the parking area to the hotel and back. The pool could use a bit of thorough cleaning, but we still enjoyed it. We stayed in a family room, and it was very comfortable for a pax of 8. We will stay again.

So the room itself was great. Spacious for 2 adults and two kids. Hot shower. Location is on the beach. But that’s where the good ended For the price I expected an actual hotel. Actual service of some kind. Cleanliness. What we got was a pool that hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Algae growing. Lots of things in water. And then all of the local kids use it for their own pool so right by our room, lots of screaming and yelling from seriously, 20 local kids. Then the street vendors set up right by the pool and drink and eat. Literally blocking our entrance to our room. Between 2-8 people at a time. This isn’t a hotel. It’s a locals hangout spot. The manager, an Australian I believe, just walks around and drinks. The band plays late so you can’t sleep so when you wake up early to go diving, you’ll be exhausted. On top of that they are doing construction on things so lots of noise. Their ads don’t mention that. It could be a totally great place on the beach. But it’s very far from it. And especially NOT for the price. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else!!!!

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW! 1. Please check check-in, out time. There will be NO staff 2. There's a rock band playing stage at the first floor. And they are playing until 11~12PM, and it's really loud so you might not have a rest. 3. Water, electricity sometimes don't work 4. It's currently expanding, and construction point is right next to your room Staff are kind, though.

Great Location!

Nice place! Big comfy and clean rooms. Shower wasn't that good but the bathroom was spacious and clean. NO BREAKFAST AVAILABLE! Despite the breakfast menu being in the room. Bring your own instant coffee as a boiler is in room. The pool is small and good for kids.

We gave this accommodation two stars. The only positive was its beachfront location. However, if you’re looking for a restful night, this is not the place for you. There’s a bar right below the rooms with live music until 1 or 2 AM, and in the morning, construction noise starts early. We booked for three people but were given just one double bed and a very thin, uncomfortable mattress as an extra. Overall, not a great experience.

Excellent service. Lady owner was really hard working. She can be seen sweeping the ground, cooking, selling food or doing laundry. Owners are also kind to animal. Dogs and cats were well fed and you’ll never see them begging for food. It’s also a popular karaoke bar at night by the open bar
