"Just amazing property Lucca was lovely. The road leading to the house was no joke its really off-road. I had a rubbish car and it made it but you need to have some vague confidence. Pizza night organised was really enjoyable had a smashing time. "This was exactly as described, Massimo was very engaging and informative, he told the history around the house and surroundings, the place is quaint and cozy, (especially the little wood stove), it was exhilarating to come home to after visiting busy, noisy Florence and Venice, climbing the windy little road was an experience in itself, if you love peace and quiet this is the place. "The small house is in a secluded spot with fantastic views of Castiglione and the mountains, both from the terrace as well as the bedroom. The outdoor pool and jacuzzi were a really nice addition. They also provided us with a lot of recommendations regarding both restaurants and fun things to do in the area. We highly recommend the house and plan to be back. "

"The quiet setting of this old farmhouse provided a calm retreat from the hectic days of sightseeing. Giacomo was a gracious host, meeting us when we arrived, giving us numerous helpful tips about sightseeing and restaurants, things to do and places to see. "Hotel Ilaria is a lovely hotel in the cute town of Lucca. It is quiet, clean and comfortable with a perfect location for exploring the town. Breakfast was delicious with lots of healthy options in addition to typical Italian pastries. The evening complimentary happy hour was wonderful. I met some lovely fellow travelers and had a great time. The best part of the hotel is the staff. The young man at the front desk was extremely kind and welcoming. He helped me purchase tickets to an evening of opera as part of the Puccini festival. It was wonderful. This one staff member (apologies that I didn’t write down his name) made my stay extra special with his kindness. And he looked great in the green hotel uniform suit (as did the young woman too). Thank you for making me feel that hotel Ilaria in Lucca was my home away from home. "

Perfect Location and Lovely Property.

"A smiling friendly welcome, spotlessly clean large room with a super comfy bed and a spacious bathroom with excellent big shower. What more do you need. Lovely property in the old town only a short walk from the railways station. Ideal for exploring or relaxing. Nice little bar on site to with a good selection of drinks including local artisan beers."

"A fabulous place to stay with a fabulous staff a beautiful view of breakfast second to none. Just an amazing experience. If you’re traveling to Sienna you need to stay here. Don’t even look anywhere else. Just stay here. It’s the nicest place around. The property is gorgeous. The rooms are amazing Fabulous place. A Nice Stay Near the Lucca Train Station

"If you are arriving/departing by train (Lucca) this is an excellent location as Hotel Rex is a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel is also very close to the city's renaissance walls. The hotel has whimsical decorations, a place for children to play, and a good breakfast. A table outside of our room had biscuits on it. I'm pretty sure other rooms had the same treat. Staff were pleasant and friendly. Outside the property was road construction, but it was not noisy. "

Fantastic all-round

"Incredible facilities, rooms are cleaned really well, staff are always very attentive. To be able to access the grotta is a real highlight, it's an incredible place, much bigger than expected and the facilities are again outstanding. Spa had a lot of choice, the outdoor swimming pools were unexpected given we visited in December and it was never too busy, often it was just us. There are also lots of hiking options from just next to the property, starting from inside the hotel grounds. "
