Disliked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Flies , insects and unprofessional staff!
The hotel building itself looks very good but the cleanliness of the rooms and professionalism of the staff needs a lot of improvement. Rooms are dark but there were flies and insects everywhere. This makes it very annoying and unhygienic. The rooms are big but the furniture has no aesthetic sense - seems like you are sitting on a work bench or in a classroom.
Now for the staff - unprofessional to say the least.We had dinner and breakfast included in our booking but since occupancy was low the staff said they will prepare the food to order. However, when we reached they had already made a few items of their liking with rotis that were very dry and crisp like papad.Chef was good because when we complained he did make fresh rotis (which were better) and a vegetable dish to our liking. The worst was when we booked a taxi for airport drop-off. I checked three times and teh hotel staff confirmed that they have booked taxi for my 7am flight to be there by 4:30am. However, their reception staff was clueless in the morning (said doesn't know who booked the taxi) and later said his driver has slept and is not picking call so its not his problem. On insisting that we will miss the flight he called his friend to arrange for alternate taxi at double the charge. Given the hotel is way out in the mountains its not easy to find commute so we had to bite the bullet and pay double the amount to avoid missing the flight - we barely made it in time for the flight. Very bad experience!
