"Overall, it was a great stay. We stayed for New Year’s Eve, so knew it could be busy and loud…and it was. Was able to deal with the craziness at midnight as it was to be expected. The waterpark was great and we enjoyed our meals from the snack shack. The continental breakfast unfortunately missed the mark. Muffins were ice cold, long line for the one waffle maker, orange juice was very watery, and not a lot of a selection available. The only positives were the scrambled eggs and plentiful...

"Convenient and affordable stay for a short trip! Decent option for free breakfast and comfortable beds. Love this option for when we need to bring our dog since they are pet friendly. Drawbacks is that our room smelled like cigarette smoke even though it's supposedly no-smoking and the towel rack was broken off the wall. Otherwise, everything was fine and we'd stay again for a quick stay passing through. "

"LOVED the cabin but it was a bummer our stove didnt work. We changed our plans (ordered pizzs)so we could eat but it was an inconvenience. A heads up ahead of time would have been nice so we knew to plan to not use the oven and stove. A discount for our inconvenience may have been a nice touch since we couldnt cook at all. Otherwise, we LOVE the resort and it was beautiful, quiet, and perfect for our family getaway. "

Beautiful and Relaxing

"Beautiful property right on the water. They have kayaks that we used and a sauna! They have two large cabins and plenty of beds. Very clean. Super quiet so if you want a relaxing vacation, here’s the spot. I definitely recommend. Also the hosts were really good at communicating and nice. "

Weekend Family Getaway

"The location was excellent. It was quiet and lots of places to eat out. Eating at the cabin was so pleasant as the Blackstone and grill were so handy. The home had spices and pretty much anything a person would need. Loved all the comfortable seating and games to play. Would love to visit again in the summer."

An August Break

"My family and myself were looking to go swimming and boating and fishing for a few days up north. This property was so convenient for us, as my daughter and son-in-law stayed downstairs with their 5 and 7 year old children, and my adult son had a room upstairs as my husband and myself had another. We all shared in the meal making so that it was an easy affair. We all had a chance to relax. If it was possible, we would do it again!"

Short family getaway

"This was a great family getaway. House is very well appointed with anything you may have forgotten as well as thing you may not think of. We unfortunately had one rain filled day but were able to do puzzles/games by the fire inside. We brought our boat and though it was very hard to find on GPS on the water side but once we understood it was on the opposite side of the peninsula we liked the little tucked away location and my boys spent a lot of time fishing right off the dock (caught/released a few). Though the cabin is small and only one bathroom it felt big with several private spaces. We will dinfately book here again!"

Great, quiet location - friendly & responsive host!

"We had a great weekend staying at the Havilah House! It was perfect for a girls weekend getaway - with enough rooms and beds for everyone! The neigborhood is lovely and very private/quiet. The host was really quick to respond to all of my questions and was able to give us good recommendations for the area. They also provided a very helpful welcome book with maps of the lakes in the area, local events throughout the summer and the closest grocery stores/gas stations etc. which was really helpful. The only issue we had was with the air conditioning in the main house. It was really cold in the basement, comfortable on the main floor and really hot on the top floor. There was only one thermostat on the ground floor, so we weren't able to figure out a solution, but it wasn't a huge deal. The host had plenty of extra blankets in the closets for the folks who slept downstairs. Would still highly recommend this property and host!"
