"We had a wonderful stay! The rooms and resort were in great, new and clean condition. It was amazing to watch the marine life at night in the overwater bungalow. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The only downside was the food. We felt it wasn’t at a 4 star caliber. Saying that, the water, beaches, and gardens compensated and we loved our stay. "

"We highly recommend Mai Tai Bora Bora for (premium) overwater bungalow experience. We jumped off our deck and went right to snorkeling. You can also rent paddleboards and motor boats. Water was so clear and beautiful views! The staff was so helpful and rooms were clean and had everything we needed like fridge. Two restaurants on site including a beach view one. The staff at Mai Tai was even able to recover our lost cell phone from the bus driver that took us to the airport boat dock. It was a work of magic and truly personalized service. Also the hotel is close to other restaurants, beaches and markets. Bora Bora Dive will also pick you up as its only a few minute drive. "

"This is an amazing place. One of the best places you could stay at in Bora Bora. The property owner makes wonderful breakfast and dinner for you every day in one of the most beautiful places with Bora Bora as a back drop. If you enjoy up scale glamping. Nice little huts near the water and a kinda of an up scale model to camping living on a private island with you, your spouse or family. This is the place for you. Sea side view of Bora Bora with a side of private paradise. If you need air conditioning and luxury beds and massages then this isn’t the place for you. But if you like the out doors and want a more private setting with you and your spouse or family without breaking the bank. Yes. This is for you. "

"We have travelled quite a bit, and this hotel was the best that we have ever been to! This was our 5th hotel in French Polynesia (2nd in Bora Bora), and by farrrrrrrrr our favourite!!! From the reception at the airport to the moment we checked out, everyone was friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! The room was absolutely beautiful, the property was immaculate, the spa was exceptional, the food was amazing, the gym was more than adequate, the views were breathtaking! Special shout out to Edouard Courgeau who made everything seamless and easy for us! He anticipated our needs and desires, surprised us with our favourite desert, and just made us feel very well taken care of! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this property for a trip to Bora Bora!!!"

"It was a truly wonderful experience – the beach is superb, rooms are comfortable, well airconditioned. Breakfast offers excellent coffee, local fruit, baguettes and cookies. Dinners are good, a restaurant on the sunset beach side is also 10-15 minute walk and a good local shop is within 2 minutes. Contact reception in advance to arrange a pick-up shuttle from the airport ferry dock. Renting bikes for a day from the reception to go round the island worked out well."

"Our favourite place we stayed in French Polynesia. We spent 4 nights here out of our 3 week trip. We stayed at several homes & finished off with the Four Seasons, & if we had to pick only one place to stay, Orama lodge would be the place. The bungalow we stayed at was built by one of the owners, Alain who is a master carpenter, with the support of this beautiful wife Regina. It was built for their son with love & thoughtfulness, & we felt it as soon as we walked in. It has an amazingly comfortable 4 post bed, fully equipt kitchen, laundry, perfect bathroom, & an extra shower outside for when returning from the beach. And we needed anything, our hosts would provide with a sincere smile. Regina took us for a walk, telling us stories of the past, & pointing out the plants and trees that have been used by the locals for food and medicine. It was truly a special experience. They also arranged for us the most amazing tour that we've ever been on. Wow. We spent time sitting on their deck talking about life, our pasts, & our hopes for the future. They love hosting guests & sharing their experiences to help guests have the best experience possible. Regina made us delicious banana bread, & then sent us off with more fresh banana bread to our next stop. They welcomed us into their home with flower leis & sent us off with seashell leis, as is the custom here. They are beautiful humans, with a contagious love for life & laughter that filled our spirits. It truly felt like home. "
