"Tolle Lage mit Weitblick. Nachteil: Sehr abgelegen ohne Infrastruktur in der näheren Umgebung. Tolles Haus, großzügig und modern. "Our initial feelings as we entered the property were that of disappointment. The pool is very tired and lots of debris at the bottom on our arrival showing it hadn’t been recently cleaned, sun beds in bad condition; lightbulbs missing, fridge with dead ants inside of it and so on. Our philosophical side then kicked in and we began to enjoy the villa’s peaceful location and great views, but other ongoing factors with this villa mean we wouldn’t book this again - the pool was visited regularly...

"Everthing from booking agent, [thankyou Steven] to stay just perfect. Position and views excellent. Owner, up the road on hand for any needs which were nil, was a truly very pleasant man. House kitted out for all needs. Pool great size and very clean as was whole site. Tavernas nearby. In all faultless 10 out of 10. Car essential. [Used Savvas car hire] Very good."

The villa it's self was clean, easy to find and plenty of space for a family of 5. "Hotel is charming and the staff are wonderful. We found all staff friendly and helpful. We asked to change our reservation dates, and they made the change with no penalty fee. When we arrived, they served us a complimentary beverage. During our stay, someone delivered freshly baked tarts to our room. After we checked out, I left an item in the room, and the hotel contacted me and couriered it to me. Amazing! The hotel is small and the rooms are compact, but everything is so well-designed and thought out, from the lobby area to the rooms. We enjoyed our stay very much and would stay there again. Thank you!"

If you get it, you get it!

"We had a quick family trip (2 adults 3 kids) up to the mountains and decided to stay at forest park despite some mixed reviews. For us, it was a great trip! I suggest embracing this hotel for what it is: an ageing giant with really dedicating staff and clean rooms. We were in adjoining rooms 716 and 717. Our rooms were warm, clean and comfy. Dated a bit? Yes, but little old school details like crown moulding and vintage radios built into the bedframes are things we embrace and appreciate. The bar was, again, living in a past era but we found it a refreshing break from cookie cutter modern. Service was fantastic and prices really reasonable. Get the brandy sour and read the back story!! Our kids discovered a random little game nook on the 4th floor and played pinball etc. We had a great sleep without issue. Breakfast was hot, fresh and again served by very dedicated staff. Staff were generally a highlight here. Everyone worked as if they really care about the hotel. Overall, at €70 per room for midweek winter in Troodos, we were more than satisfied at forest park. If you stay here, take time to look at the display cases from generations past, and sit on dated lounge sofas absorbing the vibe. Notice things like the hardwood floors, crown moulding, cross stitched wall hangings etc. I think, in summay, I understand why this hotel elicits such strong opinions. If it's your thing it's REALLY gonna be your thing, and if it's not, it'll really put you off. For us, we loved this hotel"

"Just GORGEOUS! We loved every second in Lofou. Our house, Pilate, was incredibly beautiful. Pay the extra for firewood and sit within honey stone walls on soft, comfortable sofas with olive wood burning in an open fire and forget the “real” world outside. A HUGE bed, well equipped bathroom and kitchen, substantial breakfast… PERFECT!"
