I hope you'll come and enjoy our cozy and bright cottage, situated on 4 serene acres, in the spectacular Southern Gulf Islands. The cottage is well appointed with open concept living, dining and kitchen area. It has one bedroom with queen bed and upstairs you'll find a very cozy loft with two single beds. But you'll likely spend much of your time on the spacious deck, enjoyable any time of year. Summer is sun drenched all day thanks to our south east exposure. Fall, winter and spring have their own special appeal, with evenings spent in front of the wood burning stove enjoying a good book, board games, or the quiet of your surroundings.

Enjoy the untroubled pace of the cottage or put on your walking shoes to enjoy the many beaches and trails the islands have to offer. Biking, kayaking, sailing, golfing, and many other activities are near by as is the beautiful Poets Cove Resort and Spa where you can enjoy fine dining, spa treatments, swimming and much more.

In summer, the Saturday farmers market is not to be missed and you'll be amazed by the talent and creativity of our numerous artisans. As well, Pender Island has many amenities and services to provide you with whatever you may need for your stay.

Great spot for a quiet getaway

Perfect Island Stay
The perfect location to visit some unique spots on the Island! It was awesome to hike the beach and other trails, before coming back to a clean and homey cabin. The A frame design was cozy and check in was easy! We also appreciated the well stocked spices and teas.

Pender Island Cottage
My husband and I stayed at this lovely cottage in South Pender in early February 2024. The location is quiet and secluded - we really liked its coziness and the wood stove! Brigitte, our host, made our stay most enjoyable and pointed out some really cool things to do, including a hike up Mt. Noman and the Sea Star winery. Highly recommended!

South Pender Paradise
We were on South Pender for a short stay but we had such a lovely time at Brigitte’s cozy cabin that I’m sure we’ll be back! She welcomed us warmly, provided excellent info about the house and area and shared garden produce with us as well. Her cabin was comfortable, tidy and cozy; firewood was provided and all was as described. This was a wonderful choice for a weekend or week-long visit. Thank you Brigitte!

I wish I could give a 10 star rating as others have, but between the steep rutted driveway, overall maintenance needs of the home (worn furniture, sliding glass door doesn’t easily open and there is a large hole in the screen, bathroom fan needs a good cleaning). That plus the requirement to not flush toilet paper and take your garbage with you (we had 4 days worth of garbage and a 10 hour trip going home). And the view is almost non existent with tree growth. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped, it was walkable to several beaches, and the owner did communicate well. Maybe just too rustic for me?

This property comes exactly as advertised. The location is excellent on the sparsely populated South Pender and nice and close to Gowlland Point. Necessary shopping is all there with a well stocked grocery store, liquor store and great little bakery. The cabin is well appointed and very private and very quiet. Brigitte is a wonderful host. Thank you for the great week!

lovely, simple, and peaceful!
Brigette’s cottage was exactly what we had hoped. The property is on a country lane that dead ends at a lovely secluded shoreline and park. The property is serenely quiet, except for the songbirds! Brigette was a friendly and attentive host, yet left us with privacy the duration of the stay. Cottage is simple yet comfortable, the wood stove is a real pleasure as the evenings were chilly even in June. We really appreciated the setting, home and natural beauty of the whole area. Highly recommend!

Not for me.
The house is sweet and rustic. It was clean and well cared for but too old and uncomfortable for me. There is nothing wrong with it but I just found it a bit tired and needing updated furnishings and appliances for my liking.

Wonderful Memories - Highly Recommend!
What a wonderful little island and such a beautiful location to stay for 3 days of our granddaughter’s spring vacation. Our host, Brigitte was exceptional from beginning to end. The cottage was lovely and perfect for my husband and I and our 8-year-old granddaughter. All of the amenities of home and then some. So clean and comfortable with all of the things you need. We had a wonderful trip and will certainly return again. So much more to explore on Pender. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a long or short term stay in a quiet place with beautiful natural surroundings. Thank you for everything, Brigitte! You were an exceptional host!

A great comfortable cottage in a peaceful setting!
We loved our stay at this cottage! We stayed with our two young daughters and three large dogs (a big group!) and it was a perfect and comfortable place to stay! The cottage was exactly as described, outfitted very well with everything we needed, and had lots of little details we enjoyed, such as a good selection of books, dvds, and games. The loft bedroom is super cute and cozy (great for kids!) - we brought travel cribs for our daughters and the set up worked perfectly for us. The main bedroom & bed was super comfortable, and a great setting looking out to the trees. Bridgett had great communication with us, and has taken the time to set up the cottage super comfortably with great attention to the little details. Good information was provided in a booklet about the cottage, and lots of info about the island as well. We stayed for a week mid-October, and we had a great time exploring Pender! There are so many great beaches and trails on Pender and we didn’t come close to exploring all we wanted to! We also thoroughly enjoyed a few stormy and rainy afternoons cozied up in the cottage - the beautiful large vaulted windows gave great views of the trees, and the comfort of the warm wood stove made this a highlight of our trip just as much as the beaches themselves. The cottage location is super private, and we really preferred its location on the quieter South Pender island. We could have easily stayed here to relax and explore for an extra week - no matter what the weather! It was exactly what we were looking for, and we can’t say enough good things about it! We hope to be back again!
