Spacious Cottage
Lovely location, easy to pop into Pooley Bridge. Plenty of room for us, five adults and a toddler. The furniture has seen better days which is fine if it's practical, unfortunately the sofas are far from comfortable. Beds are great. Could do with more storage space in the kitchen, or maybe we brought too much food. Easy to miss the turn into the driveway, you can't see the house sign until you've pulled in, so pay more attention than we did. Two out of three drivers missed it. We all enjoyed our stay and may well return.
Stayed 7 nights in Jul 2023

We felt this Bellegrove was excellent value for money.
We felt this Bellegrove was excellent value for money. The grounds and garden at this cottage are lovely and having our own private lake access across the road was a real treat, the children loved it. The cottage was spacious and easily accommodated 7 of us. The surrounding area is beautiful and there is plenty to do. Given the weather an extra clothes airer would have been useful for getting 7 people's gear dry after a hike in the rain! As stated in the cottage information, younger children can't be left unattended in the garden as it has lots of uneven ground and a stream. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely spacious house but rather basic kitchen equipment (few glasses, blunt knives, few pans) was rather limited. Would have liked more garden furniture to seat all of us so that we could enjoy the beautiful setting and sunshine. However we all enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Cosy cottage in pretty location.
Cosy cottage in pretty location. Lovely views of the lake, secluded and peaceful. Well equipped. Lovely open fire and good dining space. Comfortable beds. Bathrooms could do with modernisation and sofas need replacing would be my only criticism

A quiet, comfortable and spacious house.
A quiet, comfortable and spacious house. Great garden, although with small children the brook is an attraction that needs supervision. Generally very well equipped, although with a house that can sleep up to 8-9 people, a 4-slice toaster would be preferable to the 2-slice toaster provided. Some coat hangers on the bathroom doors would be of help, and particularly with children staying, the provision of Netflix on the TV would be of advantage. There is no provision for playing music CD's, so visitors would need to provide their own. The use of the lakeshore are is brilliant, and the steamer from Pooley Bridge looks good. Would definitely return.
