Put simply do not stay here. The owner will doubtless respond pointing out that we have complained about a great many things, he is quite correct. We had a great deal to complain about. We were offered a refund for leaving early, we left three weeks ago we have not yet received even the courtsey of a reply to our numerous emails, this is symtomatic of the owner and local managers attitude to guests. It is a shame because the house is in a lovely location and in our view if it were managed and maintained to the implied standards would make an excellent holiday property. In our stay we have endured no water, no electricity, no heating, no workable oven, no wifi, local managers emailing us saying they had resigned so dont bother to contact them anymore though mysteriously their photo now appears on the site. We have also endured no satellitte tv and were told "you have to pay to fix it". There are numerous damp patches throughout the house including a major leak in the master bedroom. The property is only wheelchair friendly if you have remembered to bring two strong people. The fire extinguishers quite literally are 1980's vintage. The gas BBQ is large and very rusty. There is no dishwasher and if there were it would undoubtably trip the electrics as the microwave does now. Prior to arrival we queried and were told there is a local bar that will be open and serve typical Spanish tapas, there is only a local resident who will if you let her know 24 hours in advance graciously offer food, or you can walk the 3 kilometres to Periana. The on your doorstep National Parks are 30 mins drive away and there is a 300 yard very steep and very dilapidated drive to the house, nervous drivers need not apply. The access to the paddock is littered with rusty metal, nails and broken glass much of which we removed as we have a dog. Minor issues there wasnt a workable can opener, the iron doesnt work, the pool chemicals are in a hut adjacent to the pool certainly in France where i live this is deemed illegal and dangerous, and were you to use the annex and leave the adjacent door open this has potential safety issues also. The exterior shower has loose bricks along the top. One kitchen fan doesnt work, there were at least 10 broken light bulbs, there were no working smoke alarms. Disturbingly the electric supply fuse box for the hot water is in the swimming pool area and exposed to the elements and at a height very convenient for little fingers. etc etc
