Enjoy the rich history evident in this light and bright two bedroom centrally located heritage cottage along with the ultra modern kitchen and bathroom decor.

The cottage has two spacious bedrooms with lovely original timber floors and high ceilings to the front of the property along with the living area which features a smart tv and stylish comfortable furniture.

The rear of the cottage opens up to a north facing, open plan gourmet kitchen with lots of cupboard and bench space, quality fittings and a spacious fridge/freezer. The dining zone is conveniently located alongside.

The new bathroom and separate laundry area are also at the rear of the cottage. Step outside to your private landscaped courtyard which has access to the parking area where you may park one car.

Ducted air conditioning through out plus a bonus extra air conditioning unit at the rear of the house.

Fabulous shopping is right on your doorstep with designer wear and wares at Sisko and bespoke hand stitched linen clothing at Bukeshla's. Shop where the locals shop at Franks gourmet butcher and Galati's Italian green grocer and small goods.

Walk to the Fremantle Markets and all the delights of Freo.

This cottage is beautiful, it’s very spacious and comfortable. Great fully equipped kitchen. This would have to be one of the cleanest places I’ve stayed at. Just an absolutely delightful home. Bus stop right out the front and can walk down to shops, restaurants and pubs and little further walk can get to the water front. Loved it all!!!

Great location and lots of amenities
Great location within walking distance of all the Freo fun and close to bus stops if you want to go farther afield. Bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable but front bedroom gets a lot of street noise. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need and it is a huge plus to have a washer/dryer and off-street parking! Alison was quick to respond to questions during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Winter escape in Fremantle.
Stayed with my family for 5 nights. House was spacious but not very cosy in cold weather. Walking distance to restaurants and waterfront area or a quick Uber ride to Rottnest ferry and breweries. Updated bathroom and kitchen. Offstreet parking very handy. Nice little sitting area out the back when it's not raining! Bus stop out the front made the front bedroom noisy.

Spacious Freo Living
The kids and I really enjoyed our stay. High ceilings, wooden floors, spacious beds. TV to watch Bluey on! Big spacious sofa to relax on. Fast wi-fi. We stayed best part of 2 weeks, so was a home away from home, so much better than a hotel. Big fridge, fully functional kitchen and dishwasher - full laundry. Hung the clothes out the back to dry in about 5 seconds flat. Everything made our stay really comfortable. Great location was an easy walk to the centre - but with an excellent mini neighbourhood on the same road (cafes, deli, bakery)

Thank you we had a great time Captains Heritage Cottage. The house was even nicer and bigger than the pictures on the website and the location was perfect. The bus stop was directly outside the front door ( although we didn’t need it we were so close to everything ). Everything we needed was supplied. Go Slow pilates was just 300m at the end of the road which I also really enjoyed and highly recommend . I highly recommend staying here and would definitely rebook. Thank you x

First time in Fremantle…
We definitely would love to return to this cottage. The location is fantastic ( a pity the ‘ free’ aspect of the CAT bus is stopping this week… but at least the bus is continuing) Fremantle is so full of action… For all sorts of things. We happened to land there during the 3 day celebration of 40 th Anniversary of AUSTRALIA CUP. It was a big party. The location of the cottage was ex. A particular highlight for me was “ GALATO” - a fabulous Italian fruit/ veg/ delicatessen… Next to an amazing butcher-‘ Franks’. Great coffee shops nearby, bakery, quirky shops… without even heading into central Fremantle… which of course we did. The cottage was presented immaculately. Although we didn’t meet Alison, it would have been relatively straightforward if needed. Highly recommended.

Great house - central and easy to explore Freo on foot or explore further afield by car. Beds comfortable and cooling good on the hot days. Some light bulbs need changing over the dining table and toilet area. We enjoyed our trip.

Perfect!
Great on every level - accurate & easy access instructions, clean and well-appointed, location, heating. We stayed for 3 nights whilst on a longer holiday. We were in need of a homely environment with character, not in the city but with proximity to downtown Fremantle, kitchen and laundry facilities. Very happy stay and walking distance to everything we needed - the coast, historic sites, Rottnest ferries, train. Terrific fruit & veg, butcher, and cafes just along the street, and a fabulous ice cream find on Essex Street.

A place to call home
Fantastic house with lots of fresh air and natural light. I was worried it would be cold in winter but the central heating and reverse cycle air con worked really well. I was so grateful for the spare blankets too. The owners live next door but they aren't intrusive at all, although I could hear them talking so I think the wall is not super thick, something to keep in mind perhaps if you are bringing kids or like to watch movies with the sound up, etc. I also really liked the parking out the back away from the street. And I loved cooking in the big kitchen with all the yummy things from Galati continental supermarket and gourmet butcher across the road. Nect time I will not bring a car as everything is walking distance, Freo, South Freo, food, shops, beach. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

The bed in back bedroom was most uncomfortable if you over 5foot 6 ins your feet hit the frame.Kitchen was lacking in dishes to use in oven.. Ants were annoying in the kitchen areas..Apart from that it was fine
