The waterfront Hillary's area is home to the Hillary's Executive Resort and the adjoining Sorrento Quay Boardwalk, lined with sushi bars, burger joints, cafes and seafood restaurants.
Retailers include surf-wear shops and bohemian craft stores.
Hillary's Marina Beach has a sheltered stretch for water sports and bathing, and the Aquarium of Western Australia draws visitors to watch sharks through glass-walled underwater tunnels.
Here is a Tripadvisor Review
One of my favourite places to visit
Hillary’s Boat Harbour remains one of my favourite places to visit in Perth. There’s a great vibe here, with plenty of interesting retail and souvenir shops, lots of cafes and restaurants serving a bit of everything, and on the doorstep to the marina.
It’s also right next to Sorrento Beach, and markets here as well (there were markets today Saturday however IBM not sure how often they have the markets).
The Rottnest Ferries depart from here too.
Plenty of parking and highly recommended to visit.
Another Review:
Perth's answer to Fishermans Wharf?
Sorrento Quay Boardwalk is a must-do attraction for tourists to Perth, though I'd say the locals get just as much enjoyment out of the place, too. There is something here for everyone, especially families. There is a safe lagoon/beach for kids (and adults) as well as a playground and grassy areas for picnicking or just lolling around. There are lovely water views of the beach and of the harbour, from the boardwalk itself and the dining areas. There is also an aquarium nearby that I didn't visit. Plenty of shops including some selling trinkets for tourists but it is in the area of the provision of food and beverages that the precinct comes into its own. There are bars and many different sorts of eateries, from ice-cream parlours and takeaway joints like Subway to several upmarket seafood-oriented establishments, often with al-fresco dining overlooking the water. .Every taste - and every pocket - is catered for. While maybe everything is a little bit too shiny and new here and the Boardwalk has no real history (like say Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco), it does have a friendly, easy-going quality, at least when I visited.
And there seemed to be plenty of parking, too, another big plus.
