5/5 Excellent
"The hotel is right at the heart of the city Villach. It has a special charm as the building is historic, but all facilities and rooms are brought up to standard and met our expectations.
At 8:30am in the morning you will hear the church bell (two strikes to announce the half hour) as it is custom in many of the mid-town hotels in Austria. We thought it is nice that the church bell started at 8:30am and not earlier :-). It didn't bother us.
Parking is available but might cost extra. The parking spaces are tight and getting into the hotel parking lot requires some driving skills.
Another highlight is the breakfast. It was included in our room rate. It is excellent and uniquely served on a wooden structure that is placed on the table to save space.
The next day we walked through the town and got a lot of souvenir shopping done. You can find everything within walking distance in the pedestrian walking zone. Another reason why we had a great time in Villach.
We would definitely stay there next time again. "
