Trendy new shops seem to pop up left and right and for what was once a place dominated by Chinese food is now a melting pot for all kinds of Asian cuisines ranging from Malaysian, Korean, Vietnamese, Japanese and more. The building's lower level houses the Hookah Bar, contributing to the liveliness of the surroundings.

Staying at this Sosuite, you're a few minutes away from Center City, the sights at the Independance hall, and the museums of Northern Liberty.

That just leaves one question: Where to park the car?
PARKING:
Philadelphia has thousands of metered spots throughout the city, perfect if you only plan to park for an hour or two.

Parking lots in nearby streets charge about $25/day.
They are plenty of other paid long-term parking options nearby too. A good resource is the parking locator.

Be sure to read all parking signs very carefully before leaving your car to avoid ticketing and towing during hours in which parking may be prohibited.

MOVING AROUND:
For moving around, you'll also find several bus stops, bike ride-sharing stations, and subway stations.

Otherwise, we recommend moving around the city using uber or lyft - its fairly affordable & we'd be happy to share discount codes with you!

Great location.
I thought the listing had a single bed listed as well but we didn’t find it. However, with friends you’ve had for decades it didn’t matter much. The WiFi signal was very weak. But then check in and out were smooth. The property is in an older building and was nicely maintained. Check out was a breeze. Wish more VRBOs were so easy.

Very Clean
The house was very neat, clean and organized. Only thing not mentioned is the it's on the 3rd floor with no elevator and no street parking. There's a lot next door. We paid $120.00 for two nights parking.

Visiting Philly for a conference at the Convention Center
Property manager was very responsive and quick. Property was very close to the convention center, so a very short walk. Neighborhood felt safe in Chinatown. Great restaurants within walking distance and the market. Property was clean and well stock with everything needed and having K-cups available was very much appreciated. There was only two negatives to the property and one was out of the property owners control and the could be easily corrected. Even though we had no intention to use the pool table, it really needed to be vacuumed. Bedroom number 3 is very noisy with the HVAC system above which I believe because of the building not the apartment. Luckily, I had some earplugs and slept very well. Other than this, everything was positive and wonderful stay. Also the beds were very comfortable. I would stay again at this property.

Extremely disappointing
Don’t be fooled by the pretty wallpaper, this place is barely one step above a dump. To start, the floors were filthy. Walking around barefoot led to black gritty stuff all over the bottom of your feet. You could see the dirt all over the carpets. The sheets got dirty quick because you couldn’t avoid the grime on your feet when getting in bed. The cleaning supplies were ironically stacked outside the front door of the unit for our entire stay which appeared sloppy and unprofessional. The paint was peeling, the kitchen horribly stocked (like ~4 plates, ~4 forks, no sponge - for a 3 bedroom apt we couldn’t even all eat breakfast together as there weren’t enough forks to go around), and we saw a mouse run across the living room floor. And that is all just the minor disappointments. Here is the kicker - during our stay what we guess was a failing HVAC system next to one of the bedrooms caused extremely loud roaring on and off constantly. It sounded like a helicopter was passing like 20 feet overhead and caused the wall behind the headboard of the bed to vibrate. Woke us up like every 15 -30 minutes all night long on our first night. When we alerted the management team in the morning they said they’d send maintenance to check on it, but when I reached out that evening they said sorry no one was able to stop by. We had to move out of that bedroom as you couldn’t sleep in there without being constantly woken so at the end of the day we paid for a 3 bedroom and ended up cramming our 6 family members (including 2 toddlers) into the other 2 rooms. The only positive I can give this place is parking was easy and the team was responsive (but still unhelpful). Perhaps the failing HVAC sound issue will be fixed in time for its next guests, but this place is run by a management team that basically was unbothered by the fact their guests couldn’t use one of the bedrooms they paid for. They just said “sorry” a lot to my numerous complaints and after we had checked out offered to compensate us for the inconvenience, and eventually offered us $150 back. Which is a joke given what we paid for our stay. I was willing to overlook the general filth and other disappointments that just sometimes happen when you roll the dice and rent a unit like this, but at a bare minimum you expect that the rooms you paid for can be slept in. In the words of my husband “that was a fun weekend but man that sh*tty VRBO really put a damper on things”

Big Space - Perfect for Friends
Huge space in Philly’s Chinatown district. Very clean. Few things to know: it’s on the top floor of a walk up (was not an issue for folks in our group); Apt is two floors; pool table is not as pictured and more of a play table than a real table; green couch is broken in middle but still functional. Very easy check-in and check-out. And cleaning staff does a tremendous job.

Big but needs some work
This could be a really nice property but needs some work. The beds were terrible. Uncomfortable and made a lot of noise. The kitchen was not properly stocked. The cabinets were very difficult to open, they needs knobs. There was a lot of junk on the doorstep to the apartment. Positives - it was large, everyone got their own room. It was decorated cute. The kids had fun with the pool table.

Great location; the home isn't kept up as nice as the pictures
The photos for the home are beautiful, but unfortunately the house isn't kept up that well. Examples: the walk-up to the apartment is on carpeted stairs that look like they haven't been vacuumed in a long time. In the house, someone had re-painted in the living room with a high-gloss paint over the top of a flat paint, so that you could see exactly where they had and hadn't painted. The nice rug in the photo of the living room isn't there. The bathroom door on the first floor doesn't lock. There's a pool table in the living room, but it also had lint and crumbs and dust on it. There's a cheap plastic storage closet in the living room that isn't shown in the pictures. The curtains aren't in great shape. In general, the house didn't feel as well-lit with natural light as you see in the photos. On the customer service side, the host was generally responsive, but the communication between the host and the people cleaning was disorganized. Also, it had been listed as having 5 beds, but it only had 4 (they've since corrected the listing, and they worked with us on a solution for us since we needed 5 beds). All of that said, the location is great and in general the space worked for us fine once we got over the disappointment of not walking into the beautiful space that you see in the photos.

Property was exactly as advertised. Very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the beautiful kitchen for sharing family meals. Soap/shampoo dispensers in showers were a nice extra touch! Owners stayed in contact during our stay and even dropped off a few extra kitchen items we requested!

Family Holiday in Philly
We needed a home base while we were visiting family in Philly for Xmas. The apartment was exactly what we needed for a family of 4 (and for visitors). The bedrooms were huge and well furnished, kitchen was well stocked (but needed tea), had laundry facilities, and a quick walk to Reading Terminal and various spots in the city. Only downside was the number of stairs- too much for my elderly mother, and not having a tv and comfortable sitting area in the living room. There is a pool table instead which my kids loved but a common area would have been better.
