Overall, the stay was fine. The hotel was convenient to many shopping and dining venues. Check-in was not acceptable. Arrived early for a 4pm time. The room was not ready yet. By the check-in time it was very busy and I was given 4:30 time. Wasn't until 5pm when I went to the desk that room was ready. Had not received a call. Thankfully our dinner reservations were made later and were not affected.

Booked a room here back in January for Valentine’s Day. With how hectic it was when we arrived due to the eagles Super Bowl parade, I’ve got to shout out Paula! Front desk reception. She made check in so easy and was very accommodating. It was absolutely a mad house with others checking in. The place was perfect and wonderful location. Will definitely be back!

Valet and front desk staff were awesome. Rooms were less than average, a little dusty, with newer water stains on ceilings and some rust in the bathtub drain. Amenities in the room were limited with no body wash and very tiny bottles of shampoo and conditioner. We only stayed one night so it was fine fore that.

Some of the front desk staff were surly. The only functioning ice machine was on the 9th floor. Bathroom was way too small and no heater in there so it was cold. Doormen were very nice and the location is good.

There was NO Hot water on my floor (11th). I could not take a shower during my 2 night stay. I paid for an ex large double bed room which looked impressive on your website. However, in person it was a regular size room. False advertisement. The Rittenhouse Grille food was disgusting. It looked pretty, but was tasteless. There is no way any of the food is prepared on site. More likely, it was frozen, defrosted and reheated. Shrimp was rubbery, Clams Casino was beyond awful and potato au gratin tasted like it was watered down cheese and cold potatoes. Lobster soup was also cold and tasteless. Server did his job. I was stunned to be presented a bill with gratuity included for a party of two. That is outrageous. I guess the house has to do that to ensure servers get any tip at all; not because the service is bad, but because the food is really really bad.

Room layout was odd. Plenty of square footage, but nothing in the room. Bed on one side, about 10 steps to other side of room to the desk area with nothing in the middle of the room. No couch or anything like in the pictures. Desk chair and room chair were faux leather and were peeling. Overall, room was dated with an attempt to update: shower handle was loose and gaps in caulk, tile work was dated, etc. Basically putting lipstick on a pig. Lobby was very nice but it didn't translate to the room. Staff was OK, nothing special or overly welcoming. Valet parking was easy--good dropoff/pickup area right in front of hotel and valets were quick to greet you. Best part was location, close to RH Square. Wouldn't stay here again. Underwhelming.

There was ABSOLUTELY no staff available either on the phone or in person. There was no contact with front desk or housekeeping after trying to reach them most of the evening or the next day. After checkout (just left keys because there was only one staff member and a LONG line of people (same as night before) I had to call Marriott Bonvoy directly to ask about charges on my bill. No towels (face or hand towels) which is one of the reasons I called AND heater did not work. Unacceptable.
