Great Location, Needs Improvement
Great location. Quick/easy check in/out. We were out all day, but morning/night seemed quiet. Setup as pictured, but lacked a sense of “welcome”. Fluffy towels and most of the listed basics were provided. Didn’t check out the pool area. Critical feedback was provided to the host upon checkout as the items noted were not especially bothersome to us, but might be for future guests. The host responded professionally indicating issues would be addressed. We are easy going, low maintenance travelers. Based on our experience the maintenance and cleanliness of the apartment could use improvement: chipped/peeling paint on trim work, bathroom cabinets, etc.; walls, trim and doors/door handle areas displayed as “well lived in” with scuffs, dust/dirt, etc.; outlets didn’t appear to control anything - we had to find/plugin lamp cords for lighting; microwave header fell off on my husband’s head when opened (no injury, just surprise) and likely a known issue as duct tape was evident; there were some dead insects (not the kind you want to find) inside near the slider upon arrival (guessing a pesticide barrier exists) and some live ones that made their way further in later during our stay, (not sure if this is common for first floor in the AZ climate). With no prior reviews we may be the first guests to set a baseline of improvements for the host to focus on. In its current state other guests may not find it comfortable or to the standards most vacation rentals provide for the price.
