as good as you can expect for the money

It is not a luxurious but clean, decent and friendly place. Excellent value for money. 10 min walk to the beach.

カタビーチをお安く楽しめるホテルです。

値段相応のホテルです。ビーチへは少し歩きますが、特に問題がある距離ではありません。近くにコンビニやレストラン、土産物屋もあって便利です。ホテルのプールはこじんまりしているが清潔感があります。残念なのは部屋に常時とても小さいですが“アリ”がたくさんいたこと。食べ物を持ち込まなくてもすでにいてました。スマホにまとわりつくので、ちょっと嫌だったかな。朝ごはんは値段のことを考えるとこんなもんかなっといった感じです。旗竿敷地に建てられているので、夜到着すると少しわかりにくいかもしれません。

Smutsiga lakan som inte byttes ut under hela vår vistelse (4 nätter). Annars var det helt okej. Rummet i övrigt var rent.

För den som söker något billigt med bra läge

bra: - Stora fräscha rum med stor toa - Daglig städning och utbyte av handdukar. Man fick även poolhabdduk - Läget på hotellet var bra om man vill bo i Kata. Nära strand och restauranger. dåligt: - receptionen pratade ingen engelska och när wifi inte funkade i en och en halv dag så ville vi prata med managern för att byta. Det var omöjligt att få prata med någon och det fanns inget intresse i att hjälpa oss. Även hotels.com gav oss noll hjälp!!! - frukosten (om man kan kalla det) var katastrof och även där var personalen dålig. Det kröp myror i sylten och smöret. Vatten och mjölk var ljummen. - Rummen låg längst med EN en smutsig kanal där allt skiter rann ner och det var fullt med djur som lät på kvällarna - wifi funkade praktiskt taget inte, la av ofta och när det väl funkade så var det otroligt segt. - sängarna var hårda som sten och hotellet hade ingen lösning på det utan tyckte det var normalt. Man låg rakt på en resårbotten utan bäddmadrass.

Good location, poor service

Good location. Got there in the evening, rude receptionist didnt find my reservation. It took 35 minutes for her to find me a room. No apologies or what so ever. The room was clean but so hot, the AC only worked with the one key we got (totally understand) and it took quite long to get cold. Pool looked tidy but very small, didnt try it. Maybe max 15 sunbeds by the pool.

Serviceable but not detail-oriented

Kata Silver Sands is perfectly serviceable. That said, there were several small details that would keep me from coming back. I don't ask for much in a budget hotel, but convenience is one of those things. The desk was unoccupied at check in, so after a grueling minivan ride from the airport I found myself waiting once again to get settled. Wifi was inconsistent, to put it diplomatically. Check out was also a problem, as they tried to get payment in cash, despite my showing them the "paid" notice from Hotels.com. I would've been happy to pay in cash if I could confirm my card was not charged, but the wifi was so spotty even at the reception desk that I couldn't log into my account to show the transaction! All that said, the facilities are clean, you get a cute balcony with your room, and the pool seemed nice (though I didn't use it). They also do breakfast, which I did not avail myself to.
