"Spacious room, enormous bathroom, spotlessly clean and well decorated, excellent quality bedding with an electric blanket for extra warmth. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. "We arrived, the owner refused to open saying Hotels.com never sent her the confirmation. when finally we proved we had paid, we were allowed in after over an hour of sitting outside and the gate was not working. The area was difficult to find and was not in a safe area. The rooms were not as in the pictures, the water was cold. the staff were very unfriendly and inhospitable. The venue was also undergoing renovations and was incredibly dusty and unsafe."

"This modern hotel with lovely rooms was great for our 2 night stay. Breakfast each morning was really nice and we ate in the restaurant both evenings which was also lovely. Our first night we were disappointed that the fillet steak on the menu wasn't available and mentioned this to the restaurant manager, who said he'd take care of it and true to his word, the next evening it was available. "Extortionately high price. While the hotel is clean it is in dire need of a renovation. It has no facilities and is really just a clean bed for the night. It does not warrant the high price. "This is my second stay at New Haven Guest House, it had been 5 years in-between stays but I am happy to report that my experience the second time was just as good if not better than 5 years ago. "Hotels.com had a price of R450. Booked at this rate. Owner met me on premises and insisted that i pay more as Hotels.com has old rates. I was too tired to argue so i paid R300 more. There were no towels in the room, no tea/coffee but an uncleaned kettle was available(dead ants inside it). The TV did not work. Definitely not recommended "

"A fantastic place to stay with lovely cottages, a pool, bar, restaurant and delightful gardens with lots of birds. Andre and his family and staff provide us with really helpful and friendly service definitely going the extra mile for us. Dinner is a set menu but you can ask for an alternative.
