It is very hard to get to by public transport if you are hoping to explore lake como but we were picked up from the station and lent bicycles for our stay which was so helpful and made a really nice addition to our holiday (we definitely felt silly for not researching the transport enough before). "My husband and I only stayed for one night while visiting Lake Como in late October. This is low season so some businesses are already closed for the season.
