"Nice area to sit outside, well stocked kitchen, each room has a cabinet for items, basket of fruit from owner’s garden and lovely cake was on one of the tables for guests to enjoy. Diana works very hard keeping the place clean and is always available if have any questions. Short walk to two excellent local restaurants, small but well stocked supermarket and the Trilho Ecologico da Urzelina (TEU), a beautiful 3 KM coast path. "

"The air was very damp and smelled like mold. There was indeed some black mold on the shower curtain and on the window curtain. Everything felt slightly damp in the room including our pillows. It was therefore extremely uncomfortable and hard to sleep. We woke up in the morning feeling nausea presumably because of the disgusting air. There was also a door to the outside that rattled loudly every time a gust of wind blew which also made it hard to sleep. Overall I would recommend finding different...

"I was confused about how the key code entry worked, and the office sent someone to help us right away. From then on, things went fine. The main reason we picked them was their involvement in science and research, and a tour we received was beyond our expectations. "We stayed in the deluxe room, very spacious, clean and magnificent view of Pico and piers. Denise is very attentive and making sure we are well taking care of during our stay. Our room is on the 3rd floor of the building and there is an alley at the back of our room and we were able to park our car there and led us straight to our room. "

Freshly made to order eggs along with cheeses, meat bread etc. it was literally a two minute drive to the airport but we could not hear any planes coming and going. We enjoyed the pool very much! "What a great host and the setting was absolutely heavenly. We came so my wife and daughters experience Pico as it was the home of my Avo and Ava who where from Lages do Pico and they get to know there heritage. We will return again for a much longer stay and the people of the Pico are warm and friendly will to assist. The food was spectacular and it brought me back to my childhood growing up in a Azorean Portuguese family in California. Thank you and my Gods Blessings be with all in the Pico."
