"Hotel in the jungle with a rustic charm. Room was good with a comfortable bed. Lots of ants in the room initially but I suppose being in the jungle that’s to be expected! Restaurant food was plentiful and delicious. We stayed three nights and we didn’t get bored as there was a good varied choice -buffet or the a la cart menu-. Pool towels available and the attendant keeps the pool side nice a clean, especially with his endless battle with cleaning fallen leaves up. Bar staff were very friendly...

"Staff was excellent. She made special vegetarian food for me. Lot of greenery. Room is ok not that great. Too many insects because of bushes and trees all around the property. Gieco running on the floor of the room. Had to go to the front desk every time for service. No phone/TV in the room. No light switch above the bed. Had to go to the front door to turn off lights and walk in the dark to the bed. Not convenient at all."

"We had three nights here. The temperature during the day was very hot and humid, as were the nights. Hibiscus villa has air conditioning and a fridge, which helped to make our stay comfortable. Service is very helpful. We needed a car and driver and this was arranged for us at short notice. Better to give a few days notice. Breakfast on the patio, surrounded by fruit trees and other plants was nice. Room is basic, but comfortable. If you choose to stay here you will be well looked after. "

"Was reluctant to book this hotel after reading some of the negative reviews. We were so pleasantly surprised. They said the new hotel was $12 per night more but they would take on that cost and offered us breakfast as an apology which was a very good breakfast. This would have been fine if the hotel they booked had actually been $12 per night more instead of actually turning out to be $18 per night cheaper than we had paid! Feel a bit ripped off.
