Grand Olympic Hotel has been seen to have been recently refurbished/updated. The young lady on check in was very helpful and we had very interaction with any other staff but housekeeping was always done. The only thing letting the hotel down is that the rooms still need attention. Doorframes coming away, decoration in bathroom not great and looks to be suffering with damp also the shower leaks and at one point the handle was loose. However TV was useful to pass the time after walks and before dinner and the room was basic but “did the job”. Unsure if would return here unless it was significantly updated.

Our stay was excellent because of the doorman they are always so helpful and genuine will definitely return

Pros There is a metro station 4 minutes walk away from the hôtel which is great and convenient They were very accomodating when we requested some water and a bottle opener AC works great The bed is super confortable and there’s lots of pillows Room was clean Breakfast was good, pastries cold cuts and boiled eggs Cons The duvet is not closed, it’s in between two sheets which we thought was odd/not the most sanitary There is no elevator but a lift which is pretty small and can be inconvenient Wifi connection has a lot of latency so might not be able to get good service There is a mini fridge but it was not cold inside The shower temp is pretty inconsistent and can get super hot or super cold, there is no in between
