"Property was very nice and clean. Staff very helpful. The food prices were very expensive, way to high for seniors on fixed incomes, we saved money for almost six months to be able to celebrate our 56 wedding anniversary there, but could not afford the meal(s) we wanted. It spoiled the meaning for us being there. "

"Nice little cabin on a property with everything you need. Great views and great hiking. My dog and I loved staying there. The stars at night and all the wildlife were beautiful. The host was very responsive and very accommodating. We will be back soon. "

"The Midnight Rose Hotel was very nice. The people were so nice everywhere! Our room was so comfortable and clean. The restuarant is top notch. Awesome food. We enjoyed walking around and also touring the museums and learning the history of the town. "

"Quiet neighborhood away from any larger towns or cities. We knew this was off the beaten path and was perfect for us!! Colorado Springs was about 45 minutes away. We did all the touristy things like garden of the gods and pikes peak, and at the end of the day had a peaceful retreat."

"This treehouse was so wonderful! We loved the kitchen area, with everything we needed, and space to prep/plate our food! The deck was wonderful, where we ate lunch at the sweet little table and chairs. The loft bedroom was extremely roomy, and cozy! There was even a fan and Bluetooth speaker. The host thought of everything! It stayed warm, and we had enough power to use all electronics. My husband is 300lbs and had no problem climbing the ladder."

"The road into the property can be rough, but access to this particular cabin is limited to AWD or 4WD vehicles. And add rain or snow, and it would be 4WD in low gear only. The cabin was well equipped in all areas, i.e. kitchen, bedrooms, and bathrooms, and included a washer/dryer which come in handy due to the remote location. Grounds were clean and well kept. Too bad the wood burning stove inside is not available. "

"Very nice place. Close to a lot, but remote as well. I look for places that are "secluded" and private. Anywhere you look, from this location, you wont see ANY other structures. Just forest, and the road is 30ft below you. Very modern, and fully equipped home, with no one, and nothing but forest around it. The hot tub faces west, overlooking the tree covered mountain slopes at sunset. Fantastic place to stay. "

"Property was awesome. In an area with a bunch of steep hills this house was easy to get to. Views were beautiful and the house was very clean. The area was very remote, closest small town was 15 minutes away with a small grocery store and a couple restaurants. "

"Spent the long weekend with my wife for our anniversary. Nice cozy cabin, very secluded. We enjoyed walking the roads around the neighborhood, soaking in the hot tub, and sitting in front of the fire."

"We really enjoyed how secluded this home was. Deer and chipmunks frequented the back yard. Only suggestion: With no cell service we couldn’t text the manager and couldn’t find where she lived so, with WiFi, an email contact may be more effective if needed. "

"The cabin was picturesque. We stayed during a snowstorm, and thankfully, they did have a snow plow that came by to clean the road to the cabin. The cabin was cozy and filled with everything you would need. "

"We had a great time staying here with our large group, and it is quite remote but not too far from some sweet spots. We enjoyed royal gorge, pikes peak, cripple creek, and seven falls, to name a few of the cool spots. All were within about an hour drive, and the home was a great place to come back to each night. Thanks for the hospitality!"

"I'm a truck driver delivering slot machines up there. Was lucky the weather cooperated and wasn't snowing or else it would have been treacherous to get up there. On top of a mountain But comfortable. The only thing that I didn't like was that there was no place to eat, no breakfast, and you had to walk down the mountain to the Golden Nugget sister property to have food at the restaurant which in the winter time, in the cold, wasn't a good option for me. Also the bed was extremely non-supportive. So if you like a very soft bed this place is for you. The staff was nice, kind And they do have a indoor pool that I didn't use but if I would have stayed there longer I would have. The most affordable hotel on the mountain is here so if you have to stay somewhere up there, this is the place."

Pleasant Stay

"We had a pleasant stay at the property. I had family in the area, so our days were always packed, which means we couldn't take advantage of some of the amenities offered (like the hot-tub and some of the games), but the fact they were available was great. The house was well stocked, so we were never faced with a shortage of necessities (toilet paper, cleaning supplies, dishes, etc.), and my five year old loved the toys at the property (especially the blocks). The only items I would suggest for improvement (though these are only suggestions) is to have an umbrella or two available for guests as it did frequently rain. More light in the shower would have been nice as well, but those two items are very nitpicky and did not detract from our stay. If you want a nice and secluded property where you get access to the whole property for just you and your family, it is hard to beat this location."
