"Everything was perfect on the Host's end. The weather didn't cooperate with me having an outdoor fire but there is a pit available. You may want to buy firewood on your way up. The wood they had available was too wet to burn. That's just winter weather though. Hot tub was fantastic. Loved watching the night fog roll in. Also loved waking up and being above the clouds over the valley below. 4 stars for location ONLY because the fog crept up so fast that it was actually a dangerous and treacherous...

"We had a big group of adults with cars on a climbing trip - this property was big enough to be comfy for all of us, plenty of space and 4 bathrooms so no fighting over showers, lots of parking. There's only 1 key so we had to do a bit of negotiation when we went separate ways during the day, but that was minor. Overall we loved this spot and would stay again."

"Three brothers and two wives met at the Lake House for the Sand Hill Crane Festival in Birchwood. First, the festival was so interesting and fun and a must do if you like birds. Second, the cabin was fabulous! It was a cold weekend but the fireplace kept us cozy. The bedrooms were very comfortable; the kitchen was well-stocked with cookware and utensils; the view of the dock and lake were fabulous. We saw hundreds of sand hill cranes closer up than at the festival viewing site! It was too cold...
