Location:
The unit is less than forty yards from busy highway 5 and a railroad track. You will hear traffic, sirens and freight trains at various times of the day and night (including after midnight). You will also hear your upstairs neighbors.
While it is accurate to list many locations as within walking distance, they are NOT SAFELY WALKABLE sites. It is a very busy road with no sidewalks, no shoulder and no foot paths to safely walk along.
Unit:
After the “safety broom stick lock” was removed from the track of the sliding patio door to the deck I found the door track was full of dead flies. As it turned out, the frame to the screen door was bent at the lock as if someone had tried to break in. This left over an inch gap in the screen door so that the choice was don’t use the door to have fresh air or use it and allow the flies in.
The shower/tub combo had missing and moldy caulking and the shower liner curtain was stained along the bottom six inches with a orangish growth.
Most bothersome was the dirty floors. After one evening of walking around barefoot my feet were so filthy that I chose to wear shoes in the unit for the remainder of my stay.
I did not contact the host during my stay. My issues with the location could not be changed. I decided that even if available I did not want maintenance repair or cleaning done during my stay and I left a day early.
