"We loved this place. It has everything you need, and that view/location is fantastic. We saw lots of wildlife (snow geese etc) and a sunrise on the dock was so beautiful. I will say the location of the TV is awkward, but understandable with the layout. Highly recommend!"

"We always travel to Michigan from Minnesota in a large group to visit extended family annually. We typically book a VRBO near the Frankfort area but also have family in Lake Ann so figured we would change it up this year. Maggie & Sam Hanes' property on Pearl Lake is perfect for those looking for large-group accomodations. The hosts promptly replied to all email communications and were reasonable in their property rules and expectations. It was awesome to have such a great view and a lot of privacy with no issues parking. The location is great for enjoying Sleeping Bear Dunes and Lake Michigan beaches. Also, the lake is beautiful but is more of a fishing lake or a lake to enjoy nature rather than a swimming lake. Be wary of swimmer's itch! Small cars may have difficulty getting down the road to the property, especially in the winter. Also, there is little to no cell phone coverage at the property, and we did not have access to wifi during our stay. "

"The location of this house is impeccable. It’s a pleasant 10 minute walk to empire beach, and even closer to the little strip of shops and restaurants. Yet, it’s super quiet and peaceful. The home itself was nice and warm when we arrived like it was waiting for us, which we appreciated because it was chilly outside. Home was clean and we also appreciated that there wasn’t an insane list of check out chores like some places have - just basic cleaning up after yourself such as doing your dishes, trash, etc. Overall we would love to stay here again. "

"This property was everything we could have asked for and more. It has an awesome view right on the water. It is updated and clean. It was a great place to use as a home base while exploring Northern Michigan or just relaxing on the lake. We will likely be back next year."

"Loved the campfire at night, the privacy, but ease of location. It was so close to the lake and close to the small town. Kitchen allowed us to cook all of our meals there. We felt like the owners had us in mind when they prepared things. The garage space was a great bonus for staging tubes for the river or for the kids to hang out. Pictures don't entirely capture how much space is in the house. Would definitely stay again!"
