I visited the hotel with my family (husband and two teenagers) and my 85-year-old mother First of all, the hotel needs some major upgrades (leaks) and the buffet food leaves much to be desired. We travel a lot and are usually an easy going and flexible family hence so much of what I mentioned above was something we were willing to compromise on. However, what really pushed us over the edge was the customer service (or lack thereof) of most of the front desk employees and some of the staff, in particular, the bellmen and those driving the trollies. Most were rude, seem angry with life and did the bare minimum to satisfy any issues; they seem always to be “over it.” The hotel also seems to have little control or oversight on how some guests behave and how drunk they get- they don’t cut anyone off even if they are falling down drunk. We had issues with drunk people sitting at our table during dinner, folks falling over drunk around the hotel public places and even encountered people having sex in a public restroom. I walked into some people ( two women) having sex in the ladies restroom inside the spa and when I notified the staff in the spa they said there was nothing they could do. Overall, we spent 5 nights there and came back home completely underwhelmed and feeling like we wasted all our hard earned money and vacation time there for nothing. In conclusion, I won’t stay again in this property even if free. P.S. The buffet and bar staff were lovely and grounds are nice.

Checking in, it wasn’t so easy. We received a room we didn’t like, there was a smell of mold, and certain aspects of it were unlivable. The process to receive another room seemed inconvenient, we had to check out and check back in. Also, we had to bring our luggage all the way back to the lobby. The new room we couldn’t get into until 3 pm meanwhile we had to check out of our old room by noon. This wouldn’t have been as much of an issue but we had items that needed to be refrigerated. In addition towards the end of our stay, we had a coati come into our room once and then again two days later even with the balcony door closed and locked. We asked the hotel if this was normal and apparently it is. We stayed at this resort last year and it didn’t have any of these issues so we came again because we loved it and we wanted to give it another chance but we felt let down.

Staff very unfriendly and seemed to have an attitude when serving you. Got plenty of eye rolls from staff when asking for utensils or asking for coffee. Really wanted to try parasailing but the designated spot to by the activity was always closed tried numerous times and never had any luck to get assistance. Staff never helped but said they would grab the person who was assigned to you area and left constantly waiting. Terrible try another resort!

Check in- horrible- took 30 min to check in, room wasn’t ready and it was 4pm and their system wasn’t working so we couldn’t pay. Staff is so rude Room- mediocre- showers need to be upgraded Food- boring buffet and the turn around time to replace the food that was finished was way too long that ended up in a long line . I personally will never stay there again. So many other amazing resorts in Mexico.
