"We came by the property a bit by chance but so glad we did. The room and accommodation was very comfortable and modern. The staff were superb and could not do enough for you and the buffet breakfast had a very wide choice and was fresh and cooked to order each day."

"Superb escape for some Easter sun. The only negative is they need to enforce the 1 hour sunbed reservation rule. Too many people take advantage and turn it into a towels-on-sunbed race in the morning, which really spoils the whole experience."

"Found all staff very friendly and helpful. Room was excellent. Found hotel layout and condition to be good. Lobby and piano bar settings particularly nice. Was given a spa entry voucher (€11 if paying) - worth a visit 1-2 times over a week. Food and drink all good, choice at lunch a bit limited but otherwise quality was fine. Nearby marina very nice- no beach but some swim entry points. Would return "

"Spacious apartment with beautiful view from the large patio. Apartment is basically furnished and minimal kitchen (no oven, only 2 ring hob). Spacious pool & deck area which would benefit from more regular cleaning especially at busy times. Jacuzzi not hot and pool would be more enjoyable if heated. Laundry room only opened whilst lifeguard is on duty (as he uses it as a base). No wi-fi on the pool deck but good signal in the apartment. "La Penita is in a great location. Check in was very pleasant and quick. Our apartment was clean enough and had plenty of kitchen equipment. The towels are small and very well worn. Maid came twice during our stay and again on day before we left to empty bin and leave clean towels. The beds are two singles pushed together , we found that to be very uncomfortable. "This is a traditional house, very nicely renovated. The best thing is the delightful terrace with a lovely view. This is where you have a very nice, very well presented breakfast. We were rather disappointed with our room. Although spacious it was far from luxurious and we had problems with the plumbing twice in 9 nights. Yaiza is a very quiet little town and for a better choice of restaurants it is easy to drive to El Golfo or Playa Quemada, both by the sea."
