Our stay was great, the owner was quick to respond with all my questions. The house was amazing and perfect for what we needed. LOVED the wood stove kept the whole house so cozy. Perfect for families. Close by to the lake and a short drive from JFBB. Had a great stay. 10/10

Great location!
This is definitely the best cabin we’ve rented so far in Arrowhead’s community. Large spaces (bedrooms, basement), easy check in, and fantastic temperature control. Absolutely considering renting this place again for next year!

Beyond Dirty
The house was absolutely filthy. There were mouse droppings under the sink and in the tracks of the sliding glass door. There were stains on the rugs in the kitchen & living room & the couch. There was jelly smeared on the side & back of the couch. There was VOMIT on the bedroom floor & wall in the basement that no one tried to clean up. The shower head in the downstairs bathroom didn't work. There were two piles of screws that one of our 8 year old sons stepped on. The beds had brown & red stains. The kitchen chairs were wet, badly stained & had no middle to them. We sat on our coolers as there was nothing clean to sit on in the house. We tried to get moved to another house & VRBO dropped the ball. We got a 50% refund from the owner. Still not acceptable- should have gotten a full refund as that was a health & safety concern & we were literally trapped with nowhere else to go.

Nice community, home could use a refresh
We read all of the comments beforehand and knew of the additional charges for vehicles and wristbands (completely useless in the off-season) Just be sure to navigate to the welcome center first, not the street address of the home. We stayed at this tri-level home with ages 0-75yo family members. Overall, a nice stay but the home could use a refresh to make it better. Also, be aware of what is on which level for bedrooms. Right off of the kitchen on the main level is the bunk room and queen bedroom which is next to a bathroom. Up a set of semi steep stairs is the loft, king room and bathroom. In the basement level (full view, sliding glass door from the Foosball and sitting area), the full bed is located in a windowless room. This arrangement worked for us but not work for all.

Had potential to be better
The pictures show the property in better condition than we found it. The floors were very dirt and had not been vacuumed and the corners and door frame had a lot of dust and cobwebs. Some of the heating units need maintenance as they do not blow warm air despite the individual thermostats being properly set. Many of the light fixtures are missing bulbs. The selection of cookware is minimal. Need to invest in at least one additional large pot. Whoever stayed here last left a lot of unused food in the refrigerator. It is obvious that this property has not been maintained. Despite this, we enjoyed the stay and the area.

Cozy weekend getaway
My husband and I stayed here with 2 other couples and had a great time! The house is super cozy and the heat worked very well for a chilly weekend. Unfortunately the bed in the basement had a frame that seemed very unstable (possibly broken?) so one couple had to sleep in the bunk room. Other than that we all really enjoyed our stay and Anna was quick to respond to any questions and was very friendly! Thanks for a wonderful weekend!

Very nice house
My family and I stayed at this location. It was the perfect size for the entire family. Came with plenty of dishes and utensils, everything you would need if you lived in the woods lol, candles, grill lighter, board games etc. Only a few things I would point out. The tv upstairs did not have a firestick or cable of any kind. During our stay it did rain the entire time so having a tv would have been nice for my parents so they can get away from the noise lol. My step sister complained about the beds being hard (I slept on the couch so I wouldnt know). The property was clean but the basement area had many cobwebs, THICK ones too.... as I mentioned before it rained the entire time and we paid for wristbands pretty much for no reason because we didnt get a chance to use the amenities at all, paying for parking really didnt make sense either since it is a property with a drive way and not an apt complex...The fact that I had to put the trash in my trunk every morning and haul it to the community center was pretty annoying as well. Overall I will say I would most definitely rent this home again 100%. Hopefully the tv in the master bedroom will work because that's where I will be staying lol

I stayed there with family including 3 kids under 5 years old. It was a absolutely amazing house. 1) extremely clean 2) so kid friendly. There are a few toys, books and a bunch of games 3) the host was absolutely amazing she went so above and beyond what was expected of her she helped us out in so many different ways and was a pleasure to deal with 4) there is ac in the house! Most other houses I looked at in that area did not have any ac I will definitely be coming back and will recommend it to family and friends!

Nice House for a relaxing weekend
We had a very nice stay in a very pretty area of PA. The house was well equipped with some household items that are often not part of the package. We had an issue with the Fridge and Anna was very accessible and took care of it immediately. We enjoyed it and would not hesitate returning.

The house was a very sweet pick. Although, check in was very complicated. It seems like the owner was not prepared for our check in when we arrived. We waited an hour to get in contact with the home owner so we can finalize our registration to our stay which were TWO ADDITIONAL CHARGES aside from parking that we were not expecting. Other than that, the house was super cozy and warm, I would recommend the owners to upgrade their appliances (pots, pans, more forks and knives). The house has an outdoor area with a fire pit but was not accessible because the snow was not shoveled but luckily owner next door was super helpful and shoveled the snow for us. I would recommend for the owner to reach out to their customers prior to checking in, actually call and try reach out by leaving a voice message or text regarding any further steps that need to be done prior to checking in so there are no complications since reservation was paid in full weeks before the actual stay.

Rain Rain Go Away
Unfortunately it rained almost the entire weekend so no winter sports were included in the fun but we still had a great time. The house is very cozy and comfortable. Just a few little things could be improved. There was no snow shovel for us to clear the steps, deck, or driveway which became solid ice with the rain. The cable is not user friendly and you don't get many channels. The wii downstairs had a locked code on it and the remotes downstairs had no batteries in them. We also weren't aware that it would cost us $95 to park our cars there. As far as we can tell, that piece of information is not included on Home Away, Evolve, or in any of the emails. If we're wrong, I apologize but we can't find it anywhere.

This was a great space and made for an enjoyable stay from my friends and family. As discussed with the homeowner the cleaning personnel did not meet certain things around the house but tit for tat it was a great stay and i would not judge a repeat stay off of that condition.

Exactly what we wanted!
We found this property to be exactly as advertised and owner touches added to its coziness. It was perfectly suited to our extended family of two adult couples and three adult children/friends. It was very nicely decorated and had those little extra conveniences that made our stay comfortable. Ours was a mid-winter trip so we relaxed by the wood fireplace, hung around the downstairs game room with the gas fireplace, walked the neighborhood and enjoyed the beautiful lodge on Arrowhead Lake. The house has woodsy surroundings but plenty of natural light. The words clean and comfortable sum it up. Should we be back in the area we would definitely stay again.
