"We had a lovely time in Daylesford. My 10 year old loved exploring and catching skinks. While the adults loved drinking coffee on the sunny balcony. Very close to the lake and shops. Perfect location. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed Would definitely stay here again Thank you Emily and Owen "

"Beautiful 2 bedroom cottage set on (maybe)a hobby farm. Easy to locate(20min) from Kyneton. Great place if you want quietness but needing to close to town."

"Fabulous house on the lakes edge. Amazingly comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen & bathroom amenities. All bedrooms with ensuites work perfectly for families or friends travelling together. Great walking trails around the lakes just outside the front gate. 15-20mins walk into the township of Daylesford. Lots of stairs over 3 levels so not suited to anyone with mobility issues. A few minor issues that come with rentals (cleaning & maintenance but nothing serious) Would definitely stay again."

"We love coming here. We normally do 2 trips a year. Our dog seems to enjoy the farm - looking at the cattle and this time we saw kangaroos. Merci loves running around freely. It's a peaceful time for us. We find the place accommodating. It is clean and the amenities are more than adequate. We particularly love the log fire. We will be back next year."

"Serenity was in a beautiful bush setting with easy access to walks in forests and along creek and also a good walk into Daylesford centre. The house was very comfortable- good beds, comfy sofas, good dining area and kitchen well equipped including a great large fridge. Bathroom clean and functional but old style and limited sink space for a larger group. Great warmth from the fireplace and split systems but gas space heater wasn’t working. Would recommend"

Some maintenance was required eg the crack in the kitchen sink meant there was water leaking and the blinds in the bathroom area were broken, but otherwise it was restful and enjoyable to stay at Candlebark.
