"We loved our stay. Very friendly welcome on arrival. Moana Lodge is well looked after and bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining area and lounge are all super clean/tidy ..... feels a bit like home. Our family room looked straight across to the beach/ocean, amazing view. We were lulled to sleep by the faint sound of the waves. Excellent value for money. Cooking was a breeze with gas hobs, lots of good pots, wooden spoons, airfrier and sharp knives - a very organised kitchen with ample space to store your own food. Little cute village just down the road, with train station close by. Hustling Porurua 5 minutes away by car and an easy 25 minute drive into Wellington city. We loved our stay and will only stay here now when we visit Wellington. It is a real gem."

"We stayed there for 4 days the motel itself was ok apart from a dirty oven and dirty windows it wasn't vacuumed at all during our stay.office was not open during our stay the laundry room was free but it was absolutely filthy I rate it 5/10 "

"Although somewhat dated, the property was good and had all the necessary facilities. It was a shame that the kitchen was dirty and needed a good clean. Otherwise the property would have been great. However the Supervisor was very apologetic and upgraded us to better and cleaner accommodation at no extra cost. We were very grateful and in turn had an awesome stay! "
