Lovely cabin by a scenic private lake
My only concern booking this property was that it might be a bit cramped. This was not the case at all. Plenty of room for the four of us. Nice open kitchen, dining room, living room area with a comfortable couch. Lovely furnishings. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare coffee and a few simple meals. Views of the lake are spectacular and proximity to ONP can't be beat. Previously I had booked at the Lake Crescent Lodge but this is an upgrade in every sense and much more private.

This is a nice basic cabin in a lovely location. Minor issues like spots in the ceiling of the shower, and a keurig but no coffee pods. It had two other coffee makers and a small bag of regular coffee, but no decaf and no cream or sugar.

Cozy and simple
Location is great for visiting the park. Enjoyed watching stars at night from the deck. Cozy and simple. The place could use a few dollars thrown at it in terms of kitchen supplies, upgrades on the towels, and the bed creaks comically loud. But overall it was a great base for our visit to the national park.

Not as pictured
Unfortunately I found the property to not have been cleaned very well- visible pet fur on the floor, dirty towels in the clean folded towel stack in the bathroom, and not as pictured- bathroom not pictured in the listing and it was not very nice in quality and cleanliness. Bed was so squeaky we couldn't turn over in the night without waking up constantly. Property management reached out to me when I got there asking if it was clean and why I said no, they said they could send someone out to clean it but I felt like that would have been a big inconvenience for us. Ultimately, just kind of disappointed considering it was also expensive, I would have expected a better experience without having to go out of my way to let a cleaner interrupt our stay.

Nice older cabin. I tried to contact the property manager about a washer and dryer but they never responded. Information in cabin was very generic not specific to where we were stayin. Nice grill.

Nice little cabin, would stay here again.
Overall, a very nice little cabin. The water pressure is lacking and it’s not overly clean, windows have cobwebs in them and the gutter needs cleaned badly. The loft is a bit of a climb to get up to. It’s nice having the kitchen and full size fridge. Would be nice if you could use the wood stove, it has a large sign that states “ Do Not Use” this was not in the description pictures. Overall happy with the stay, the views of lake are definitely nice, very peaceful location.

Needs cleaning.
They've basically put a queen mattress in the attic. They don't seem to clean the attic at all. There was dust all over the attic and spider nets. If someone has dust allergy, it's impossible to sleep in there. Other than that the cabin was really pretty and a nice stay.

Beautiful view
We loved the view and going down to the dock. Even got one of the kayaks in the water. Some small upgrades and more cleaning and it would have been better. Pretty rustic. We had 4 people staying but only 3 towels were left. No towels available for getting in the lake. No where to put luggage.

We’ve stayed in better
We have stayed in quite a few VRBO rentals, but have not spent as much as we did for this one. I have to say that we were very disappointed. The picture of the site only closely resembles the place. There was still trash in the receptacle. There were cobwebs present. There was a used k-cup in the coffee maker. There is mold on the bathroom ceiling and the place had a musty aroma. Not what we have come to expect, especially for the amount charged.

Needs some love
Overall it is a very cute rustic cabin. But it does need some love to be more comfortable. In the two days we were there we saw 4 spiders. I rent houses and cabins 5-6 times a year and this is not normal. When you go outside and look up to the roof line there are spiderwebs everywhere. And also a lot of cobwebs in the cabin. The other thing which make this place not comfortable is the main bed. SOOO squeaky. Every time my husband or I turned over it made an awful squeaking noise. Not great for a good nights sleep. They also need to invest in some silverware. They had only two spoons. And mold on the ceiling in the bathroom with poor patch jobs and screws randomly in the walls. Could be great but needs some love.

Sweet honeymoon spot.
Gorgeous location for us exhausted honeymooners. Had all the amenities of home. We loved being able to store food, cook, kayak the lake with the provided yaks, life jackets, and paddles, take warm showers, sleep comfortably. So many critters to see! Birds, fish. There were some large, slow ants roaming around the cabin, typical of older structures by water. Didn't bother us, but just a warning if that's not your thing. Proximity to both Port Angeles and the Olympic Natl Park was excellent, but we also loved staying in on a couple of days just to get a fire going and enjoy that view. Even the neighbors were friendly! Would not hesitate to stay here again. Next time we will bring a mesh-ceiling tent to set up in the yard so we can really enjoy that starry sky. The single aspect we didn't love was the ladder to the loft. The loft itself is nice, but that ladder is so uncomfortable to climb that we ended up staying in the bedroom below starting with the second day. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning for any folks that expected to sleep up there.

Excellent lakeside cottage with great access to Olympic National Park. We were excited about the wood burning fireplace, but this is not available for guests. Not a huge deal since there are other sources of heat and the weather was great. Would definitely stay here again.

It was very cozy and comfortable. It was nice having kayaks to take out to the lake. It would have been good to know that there isn’t an oven, only a small toaster oven and grill outside.
