The driving in Port Louis was pretty chaotic. Lots of one way streets. And the market itself wasn't that great - lots of similar things for sale.
Crowded and unsanitary, but colorful. Lots of touts and beggars. Also, vendors (as in India) like to "touch you." Not for those that don't like their personal space to be invaded. Always offer at least 50% less than opening price. Snatch and grab and pickpockets can be a problem.
