"In what was a late decision, I booked to stay at The Commodore to participate in a community event in Mount Gambier. Even though the booking was late, the hotel accommodated a later checkout which meant that I had time to relax and shower after my event, which was welcoming. "A decent enough motel for our one night stay...we arrived after a long drive from Kangaroo Island and decided to dump our bags and have dinner. The restaurant was clean and staff friendly....the food was good as was the wine. Comfortable room, clean and tidy and a decent shower though rather noisy through the night with road noise. Breakfast was ok, nothing special but set us up for the day and both dinner and breakfast were good value for money."

"Needed somewhere to stay that was affordable for an urgent quick trip. I stayed here & was worried being 7 months pregnant that the beds would be uncomfortable given the price. I had a great sleep, the bed, pillows & blankets were nice. Room had aircon & blockout blinds & blockout curtains. Mini fridge was the best one I’ve used & actually kept my water bottles really cold which was nice. Not many hotels/motels ever have a good working fridge."
