Perfect Stay
This is a real Gem, nestled in a quiet oasis, in a walkable and beautiful neighborhood with restaurants, cafes and shops. The space has everything I needed and the sitting area is perfect for winding down after a day on the town-or a cup of morning coffee!

Great budget stay in super neighborhood
Best part of our stay was the location: a quiet neighborhood within walking distance to many restaurants, a terrific grocery store and transit lines. It is a great base from which to explore Portland.

Great location and comfortable house.
The Tiny Gem was great! My husband and I enjoyed our stay; bed was comfy, kitchen clean, bathroom and shower were clean and had warm water, and the room was even stocked with books, videos, travel guides and such. The neighborhood is great with a lot to do just a few blocks away. We spent most of our time out of the room, but would definitely stay again.

Great location
Enjoyed our second stay at the Tiny Red Gem. We love the location - in walking distance to fabulous restaurants, grocery, and galleries. We were happy to find the Columbia River Scenic Byway reopened after last year's fires. Only complaint is unreliable, spotty internet service.

excellent location with beautiful yard
We loved this quaint little guest house. It was in a great location, close to places to eat and the airport. The kitchen was well equipped. There were lots of good books to read, including helpful guide books in which we found several excellent local hikes. My only recommendation would be to buy some new pillows for the bed.

Great Rental in Alberta Arts, Comfortable and Clean
We were in town for just a few days for a friend's wedding and loved this guest house. It was just enough space for the two of us, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spacious enough, which we don't always get to say in our reviews! We were within EASY walking distance to a handful of restaurants, shops and a bar, and just a slightly farther walk to anything we could possibly want or need. We hope to come back and see more of Portland soon!

Cute, quiet place right in the Alberta Arts district neighborhood
Your place was perfect, well-decorated, and beautiful on the inside and out (in the yard). Great location to get to know Portland from. We hung out both in the neighborhood, and saw some Portland sights, went hiking at Forest Park, drove to Astoria and Cannon Beach, and drove to Columbia River Gorge and around Mt Hood (caught in a little snowstorm). Amazing trip, and look forward to coming back and staying here again!

Cozy hideaway in a perfect location.
We had an amazing time in Portland! This little gem gave us the perfect home base to explore. Steps away from the phenomenal public transit system, we could easily pop over to downtown for sightseeing. The neighborhood itself has public art at every turn and a collection of fantastic restaurants within easy walking distance. Our hosts made sure that we had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. I would highly recommend it and will stay here again if we return to Portland!

The floor was cold (we had to do double layers of socks) but granted it was freezing out..
Perfect location. You can walk two blocks to the Kennedy School to soak in the Soaking Pool. Great coffee and food also walking distance away. The room was great. Cold floor in the winter so pack your slippers. Bed was very comfy; futon was too bumpy to sleep on. Overall, a great stay.

Great location and very private
I stayed here with my small dog, Jack for 2 weeks. It was actually perfect us. Close to everything, including my grandchildren! They even spend the night one night! The accommodations are great with everything you’d need from the kitchen to the little yard. I have no doubt we will be back someday! Thanks Jennifer and Chris!
