"We had a pool suite for a family of 4, and the room was enormous and so luxurious. The bed was very comfortable, and my children said that the sofa bed was too. We absolutely loved the pool on the balcony. Breakfast was very busy, and an amazing number of guests somehow manage to drop food on the floor. "After nearly a week of hiking in Madeira, I booked a stay at the Allegra as a treat to unwind and relax and it did not disappoint. The hotel is kept in impeccable condition, the staff are INCREDIBLY kind and helpful, breakfast was outstanding and the pool is beautiful. It is a little out of the way from the action in Funchal so I wouldn’t have wanted to stay the entire time here but if you’re looking for a place to get away and relax, this is for you. "
