1) THE APARTMENT
Private house also used by the owners for their holidays. Familiar environment.
On the second floor of a house in the centre of the village, near the lake.
Large balcony with a beautiful view of the lake and the public garden.
On the balcony you can have breakfast or dinner watching the sunset over the lake.
Double bedroom (plus a single sofa bed), living room with double sofa bed, bathroom, eat-in kitchen. Total: 4/5 beds.
Available: oven, TV, washing machine, electric water heater, air conditioning in the living room, shower and bidet. Balcony in the kitchen for drying clothes. Space in the cellar for bicycles.
Cool and quiet public garden with benches. Very nice neighbours.

2) THE VILLAGE
Porto Valtravaglia is a small town on Lake Maggiore 8 km from Laveno, 9 km from Luino, 80 km from Milan.
Very calm environment. Mild climate.
Ideal place for couples, families with children and elderly people.
In summer there are frequent markets and popular festivals with music and dancing.
Dario Fo, 1997 Nobel Prize for Literature, was born and lived in the village

3) INFORMATION FOR GUESTS
Tourist materials are available in the house to make guests' stay more pleasant.
Guests will find a "book" prepared by the owners (in Italian and English) with:
- emergency services (hospitals, ambulances, police)
- information necessary for the use of the house and shops
- timetables of means of transport (trains, boats, ferries, buses)
- tourist information (maps, points of interest, beaches, walking paths, tourist events, shops, banks, restaurants, etc.)

4) HOME SERVICES
For guests are available:
- clean bed sheets and towels
- containers for separate waste collection (paper, organic, plastic, metal, glass, generic)
- slow elevator (10 steps need to be climbed)
The owners or other guests usually leave some sugar, salt, coffee, etc.

7) GUEST REQUESTS
The owners will welcome guests personally for the exchange of keys and for the main information. Since the owners live in Milan (90 km away), guests are invited to communicate in advance the time of their arrival.
Guests are asked to avoid excessive noise and not to bring sand into the house. Pets are not allowed.
Guests can leave dirty towels and sheets, but it is requested to leave the house clean and tidy.

8) WHO ARE THE OWNERS
The owners are a couple of retired high school teachers. They have travelled extensively around the world and love meeting new people and traditions. They speak Italian and English, but also understand a little French and Spanish.
For the owners it is always a pleasure to have guests. Guests have always appreciated it. The owners hope that future guests will also be happy with the hospitality they will find.

9) NECESSARY DOCUMENTS
The house is registered in the official list of holiday homes in Lombardy. All guests over the age of 18 must be registered with the Italian Police offices. For this reason personal documents (identity card or passport) will be requested.

10) PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES
The house does not provide specific services for people with disabilities. If necessary, contact the owners to evaluate possible solutions together.
The lift goes halfway up, so you have to walk 10 steps down.

Nice stay
The flat was nice and good location. Would book again. Living room is facing the street, though, and traffic noise can be very loud especially on weekends mainly due to motorcyclists and the single glassed windows. Bedroom window goes to the back and is plenty quiet.

Die Wohnung zentral gelegen. Alles Notwendige ist zu Fuß zu erreichen. Supermarkt, Bäckerei und Café. Der See ist wenige Schritte entfernt. Die Vermieter sowie die anderen Bewohner im Haus sind freundlich. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war problemlos. Wir haben den Aufenthalt genossen und fühlten uns wohl.

Sehr schön
Daniela und Roberto sind sehr nette und freundliche Gastgeber und die Kommunikation sehr gut und unkompliziert. Die Wohnung war sauber und die Betten gemütlich. Super war die Klimaanlage im Wohnzimmer. Die Lage ist an für sich ganz gut, die Aussicht auf den See ist leider durch große Bäume sehr eingeschränkt. Abends sind öfters Veranstaltungen mit Livemusik auf dem Marktplatz. Es kann daher ziemlich laut werden. Die Wohnung liegt im zweiten Stock, es gibt einen Fahrstuhl, ist zwar sehr langsam, aber gut um das Gepäck nicht schleppen zu müssen. Trotzdem sind noch 10 Stufen bis zur Wohnung, für Gehbehinderte zu beachten. Der Supermarkt ist gleich um die Ecke. Die Strände sind sehr schön und ebenfalls schnell zu erreichen. Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen und waren zufrieden. Vielen Dank für die schönen Tage

Wohnung in toller Lage
Wir hatten schon vorab eine sehr nette Kommunikation mit den Vermietern dieser Wohnung. Sie haben sich um vieles vorab gekümmert um uns einen tollen Urlaub zu ermöglichen (Bett für unsere kleine Tochter etc.). Die Übergabe der Wohnung durch die Schwester hat wunderbar funktioniert. Die Wohnung ist wie beschrieben, typisch italienisch und eher altmodisch, allerdings war die Sauberkeit aus unserer Sicht nicht ganz perfekt (sind sehr pingelig) und es waren uns fast zu viele persönliche Dinge in der Wohnung. Die Lage ist super, direkt am Wasser und Restaurants, eine Eisdiele und Supermarkt nebenan.

Schöner erholsamer Urlaub
Von der Wohnung aus sind alle notwendigen Einkäufe gut zu Fuß zu erreichen: Supermarkt, Bäckerei, Café etc. Die Wohnung ist optimal gelegen, weil der See weniger als 100 Meter entfernt liegt. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und die Wohnungsnachbarn auch. Wir fühlten uns dort sehr wohl und hatten einen wunderschönen Urlaub. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war unkompliziert, und sie waren daran interessiert, daß wir einen guten Urlaub haben.

Wundervoll
Wir wurden wieder sehr herzlich empfangen, die Schlüsselübergabe und Kommunikation sind unkompliziert und einfach. In der Wohnung fehlt es an nichts, die Lage ist sehr zentral, direkt in der Nähe von mehreren Stränden. Die Straße ist zwar vom Balkon aus zu hören, im Schlafzimmer ist es jedoch schön ruhig. Kostenfreie Parkplätze sind in direkter Nähe. Insgesamt für uns ein rundum perfekter Aufenthalt, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Sehr schöner See
War alles super, die Möbelstück sind zwar alt, ist aber trotzdem alles sehr bequem und sauber gewesen. Die Vermieter war sehr freundlich. Die Umgebung und der Ausblicke von Balkon ist super. Es ist alles da was man zum überlegen braucht. Supermarkt, Restaurant, Bars und Eisdiele.

Mooi groot appartement met balkon. We hebben genoten van het prachtige uitzicht op het Lago Maggiore. Slaapkamer ligt aan de rustige binnentuin van het complex en heeft een prima bed. Het appartement was schoon en alles was aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Het contact met de eigenaren was uitermate prettig. We hadden een heel fijn verblijf in Porto Valtravaglia.

Super entspannend, mitten im Dorf, 50m zum Strand :-)
Für uns war die Ferienwohnung in der lebendigen Dorfmitte perfekt und der Urlaub darum super erholsam! Wie schon andere geschrieben haben, sind Daniela und Roberto sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und gaben uns Tipps zur Umgebung! Das mobile Internet war sehr gut und wir fanden immer einen Parkplatz in der Nähe der Wohnung. Aufgrund der zentralen guten Lage, sind wir sehr wenig Auto gefahren. Sehr schön war unser Ausflug zu den borromäischen Inseln, insbesondere zur Isola Bella und der Fischerinsel, mit der Fähre von Laveno nach Intra und anderen Booten zu den drei verschiedenen Inseln. Gerne wieder!

original italiänischer Stil, direkt am Strand, mitten im Dorf
Die Lage ist sehr gut geeignet für Familien. Direkt am Marktplatz, mitten im Dorf. Apotheke, Bäcker, Post, Strand, Eisdiele Cafe und Supermarkt und alle Restaurants sind im Umkreis von 50 bis 150 m zu erreichen. Das Auto kann also für Besorgungen vor Ort stehen bleiben! Der Strand vorm Haus ist der beste weit und breit. Der angrenzende Spielplatz ist geeignet. Das Haus ist insgesamt sehr sauber und gut verarbeitet. Es stammt von 1959 und wurde bestens vom Architekten geplant (1959). Das merkt man daran, dass das Wohnen sehr angenehm ist. (Haushaltsbalkon, Küchenbalkon, Hausarbeit) Die Möbel und die Küchenausstattung sind allesamt sehr sauber und gut sortiert. Sie sind weitestgehend originalgetreu italiänisch und klassisch bis antik gehalten. Uns gefiel das sehr gut. Bei Alltagsfragen sind die Gastgeber sehr bemüht unkompliziert zu helfen. Die Kommunikation lief sehr gut (englisch). Insgesamt hatten wir einen guten Aufenthalt.

Great stay right next to Lago Maggiore
The owners of the apartment were very kind and helpful when they welcomed us. The apartment has everything you need and is right next to the beautiful Lago Maggiore. Most of the beaches surrounding the lake consist of pebbles, but there is a small stroke of sand near the apartment, which is a great plus. There is also a great gelateria very close by, as well as a supermarket. There are many nice places to visit in the area, such as Varese, Milan and Verbania.

Guter Ausgangspunkt für einen Seeaufenthalt
Die Einrichtung der Wohnung ist typisch italienisch. Schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber in gutem Zustand und sauber. Der Balkon vorne raus Richtung See ist schön zum Frühstücken und abends um bei einem Glas Wein den Ausblick zu genießen. Der Strand ist gleich um die Ecke und super geeignet für Kinder. Da man mitten im Ort ist, hat man alles in Laufweite: Supermarkt, Apotheke, Zeitschriften- und Tabakladen, ein kleines Café mit leckerem Eis, etwas weiter vorne dorfauswärts gibt es noch eine Pasticceria in einer alten Villa mit schönem Aussengelände, ein Hotel mit Restaurant und eine Post. Ein kostenfreier Parkplatz ist vor dem Haus und ein weiterer mit kleinem Parkhaus ein paar Gehminuten entfernt. Zum Glück hat das Haus einen Aufzug - wenn dieser auch sehr langsam ist, ist er eine ungemeine Erleichterung, was das Gepäck und Einkäufe anbelangt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl und herzlich willkommen gefühlt. Daniela und Roberto sind sehr sorgsame und liebevolle Vermieter. Danke an dieser Stelle noch einmal für alles! Wir kommen gerne wieder!!!

Fantastisch authentiek appartement
Knus appartement met zeer goede ligging en prachtig uitzicht op het Lago Maggiore. We hebben een hele leuke vakantie gehad. De eigenaren zijn e r g aardig en behulpzaam. Het enige wat ontbrak was dat er geen WiFi aanwezig was. Vooral onze kinderen hebben dat gemist.

In der Ausschreibung ist alles ehrlich beschrieben. Die Lage zum See und Strand ist großartig. Die Kinder waren den ganzen Tag mit Schnorchel und Co.im See und Erwachsene können prima entspannen. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und fürsorglich.
