"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy furnishings and glitz. We highly recommend!"

"Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for new year's. Self check-in and out was very simple. The staff were really lovely, helpful and down for a chat. The view from our window was magnificent, overlooking the bay. The perfect home base for our explorations on Isle of Skye. The only thing that would improve the experience would be a mini fridge to keep groceries and milk fresh. Although mini fridges seem to be more common in Australian accommodation, as I haven't had one anywhere we have stayed in the UK. "

"Location is excellent but need to look for parking as limited. Room was really nicely decorated which made it feel really homely. Restaurant serves excellent food and it’s close to their restaurant and services. Portree itself it’s absolutely beautiful and I could not recommend it enough. "

"I had an absolutely wonderful time here. The staff at the front desk was so helpful, and so quick to address any question or concern. My meals were excellent as was the service in the dining room and bar. The Sauna/cold plunge experience was exceptional and the coziness of my cabin cannot be paralleled. I cannot speak more highly of this experience, book it! "
