"We had a wonderful experience staying at the Campanella. It was lovely, and Paolo was a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome with extra information about the region and the home. We would happily stay again!"

"Pictures don’t do justice to the view that awaits the renter of this apartment! The lake and the surrounding mountains are stunning. The apartment is nice and comfortable with a great balcony to enjoy the view. I would recommend getting there during the day since it can be a bit tricky at night. Pay attention to the fact that there are 3 flights of steps to climb, but if steps are not a problem, the view is totally worth it!!!"

"This apartment was in a wonderful location near the water, restaurants and food shopping. Plenty of parking and convenient to the apartment. The apartment had everything you’d need for cooking, laundry and restful spaces. There was a cute porch with a view of a small chapel, a castle and the lake if you stood close to the railing. Amazing owners that helped us a lot in every way we needed. The only downside I think about is the mattress being quite old, older folks with back problems we had a hard time to sleep and wake up. "We are just back from a wonderful break at the villa in early May 2024. The villa is better than the listing shows as they have refurbished since the photos were taken. Very clean and comfortable with full amenities. We had beautiful weather so were able to really enjoy the gorgeous outdoor areas and a dip in the lake. We really enjoyed a peaceful week, mainly hanging out at the villa."

"Pro's and cons: Pro's first: good location, a short drive from Luino, a good sized lakeside town. You can take ferries from Luino all round the lake, including to the Borromean islands. You'll have to spend some time aquainting yourself with the ferry timetable and a map of the lake. Nothing much goes on in Dumenza itself. There's a small supermarket that we didn't actually have to use, as we shopped out and about in the bigger towns. There is somewhere to get a coffee in the morning if you...

"We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel and for us, it was a perfect stop to explore the area. If you are looking for full a service hotel, it's not for you but as we weren't, it's easy relaxed feel was just right. Complimetary tea/coffee/cake is in reception, you can have as many cups as possible and we enjoyed the croissants in the morning. A very nice lounge area with a pool table and a small shop to buy drinks, alcohol and other snacks is available. To eat there is a restaurant across the road and hotel residents get a discount, we enjoyed the choice there, self service style but lots to choose from. The staff were super helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble"
